The control panel is crucial as it manages all access points. The system's server contains a user database, allowing for customization of access times and locations. When a card is presented to a reader, the controller verifies the user's credentials against the database. If verified, the door unlocks; if not, the system logs the attempted breach and notifies the appropriate monitors.
