Long-time customer since 2014 (over $15k on a full HVAC system and $5.5k on a minisplit) and this is the first time I’ve felt the need to leave a negative review.
The technician was professional and courteous, but the overall experience was disappointing due to a lack of transparency and follow-up around pricing. I asked for a breakdown of parts and labor and whether there were any alternative options. None were available, and no one could explain the pricing beyond “that’s just what it is.” The $3,100 cost for a water heater felt high, especially given that I was told there was only one option and no flexibility.
I did receive a call later from the plumbing manager saying the higher price was due to an extended warranty and the use of brass parts, which I appreciated, but I still never received a clear breakdown or the ability to compare options.
I followed up multiple times with management and ownership to share feedback and ask for clarification and never received a response. That silence is ultimately what led me to post this review.
I’m sharing this so others know what to expect: the work itself may be fine, but if you have questions about cost, want to understand what you’re paying for, or hope for engagement when concerns are raised, you may not get it.
I’ll be going elsewhere for plumbing work going forward. The photo is of a part that was left in my driveway, not a big deal on its own, but it added to the overall sense of a rushed and impersonal experience.

Josephine is very knowledgeable about all our heat and air units. She was doing our annual heating maintenance on our normal heating systems and also we have 2 mini splits in my husbands garage and she was able to work on those also - not all Heat & Air companies can work on mini splits. I would highly recommend Air Assurance for all your HVAC needs.

If I could give 0 stars, I would.
On 12/4, I contacted this company and clearly explained that I needed a gas regulator valve replaced on my gas fireplace. The representative confirmed they could handle this type of work, though she mentioned I might need to supply the part myself. That surprised me, since most companies avoid using customer-provided parts due to warranty and safety considerations, but I proceeded because she assured me the technician would call beforehand to confirm everything.
The technician called about 20 minutes before arrival as a courtesy and was extremely polite and professional. When he arrived, I explained the situation again. He looked at the fireplace and told me that their company is not allowed to perform this type of work. He stepped outside to confirm with his supervisor, then let me know the service-call fee would still apply. He was respectful, and I don’t fault him at all.
After he left, I called the office expecting the charge to be reversed since the company was unable to provide the service. The supervisor I spoke with seemed irritated that I requested a refund and told me to call back in the morning.
The next morning, I began a series of calls that lasted several days. I was told repeatedly that the only person who could issue a refund was either not in yet, out of reach, or on vacation—though the details kept changing. I was told I would receive return calls, but none ever came. Each time I called, I explained the situation respectfully, but I was given the same information over and over with no progress.
At the end of this process, I was still charged $99 for a service the company was unable to perform, despite having been told at the time of scheduling that they could handle the job.
To top it off I get the automated messages asking me to leave a 5 star review to rub salt in the wound.
This review reflects my personal experience, and your experience may vary. My intention is not to harm the business but to share what occurred so others are aware of the challenges I encountered. I am still pursuing a resolution so the charge can be corrected.
