- DDDodyMar 3, 20261.0What a joke!! The recommended trim for the windows left large gaps and was installed half the way. The installer handed my workers a box of caulk and told them to finish it. The installer also put the slider in backwards. The sales person Kevin came out and looked at 2 windows. He returned to the office and told me the owner is not interested in fixing the problem or refunding the more than $900 for quarter round that didn’t even begin to trim out the windows as promised. Why would anyone pay that much money just to turn around and rip it out and pay someone else to fix it correctly. The website states they care about service and customers. That is truly not true!! I am so disappointed in the Heartland branch. I have windows from Akron window world that look perfect. Don’t trust heartland.

The term "Any Size" refers to any size replacement Double-Hung window our manufacturer will construct. Currently this is a minimum width and height of 15" x 26" and a maximum of 48" x 78". "Installed" refers to the removal of a basic Double-Hung wooden window and installing your new Window World replacement window using the existing wooden stops.
Will the replacement window be installed from the inside or outside?
The majority of our replacement windows are installed from the outside. In some situations it may be necessary to install from the inside. On the day of installation, your installation expert will assess your unique situation and explain the process that will best suit your home.
What types of Payment methods & Financing do you offer?

Do you install replacement windows year-round? If so, will I lose a lot of heat/cooling at the time of installation?
Window World installs replacement windows year-round. An average installation will take only one day. Our crews install one window at a time and are trained to do what they can to minimize heating/cooling loss. The energy savings from your new windows will recover any incremental energy costs incurred during their installation many times over during their lifetime.
How can I prepare my house for my replacement windows?
Please take down curtains, blinds, or any other window treatments. Security sensors should also be removed and turned off by your security company. Please provide our installation expert with a clear path to the window(s) being replaced by moving anything that may be in the way. It is also advisable to remove all wall decorations from the walls close to the windows as they may fall during removal or installation.
How long will it take to get my replacement windows? How much time should I allow for the installation?
Generally, replacement windows can be installed typically 6-8 weeks from the date that the final measurements are taken. Given the pandemic, it may be upwards of 6 months before they are installed. The type of window being installed and type being removed helps determine the amount of time needed to complete the job. On average each window takes about 30 minutes. Trim work and cleanup will require additional time to complete. An average job will take a single day.

What happens to my old windows?
After installing your new replacement windows we remove all old windows from your property and dispose of them properly. If you wish to keep your old windows or storm windows, please notify the installation crew as soon as it arrives for your installation.
