We contracted Bachtel to tap into public water. They provided an estimate for the whole project, and coordinated all parts of the project with their preferred plumbing and well abandonment trades, and with Aqua. Everyone who worked on our project was great - from the office staff to the site crew. All were communicative and friendly, and they did a great job cleaning up the jobsite. I obsessively research before any new project (this one was 12 years in the making, LOL) and I received quotes from other trades as well. Bachtel's quote was less than some and right on par with the others...yet the machinery they have available to them for excavation work seems to be superior. We had a couple different options available to us (trenching, boring, etc.) and they worked with us to ensure minimal disruption to our yard and existing sidewalk and drive, all while navigating around the gas line. We appreciated their attention to detail and ended up contracting some other work we needed done with them as well. Thank you for a job well done!

This company put a water line in at my home. They broke a drainage pipe that was underground from my spouting and then just covered it with dirt and broken pipe. I showed it to one of the workers and he said they should have never left it like that. He went and got pvc pipe and put it on there. Then water and mud was coming into my house from the wall they put the water line in. They came back out when I complained and couldn’t find where it was coming in. They sent their boss out who blamed it on my sidewalk. I still have mud all on the floor and water coming in every time it rains and I have to go down and sweep the water out of my fruit cellar towards the drain. Total mess. I would never use them again.
