- BMBob MyersMar 16, 20265.0During the preliminary home inspection it was pointed out that water had been leaching down our service cable into the 100 amp box in the basement. Half of the terminals had rust and corrosion. The weatherhead on the outside was too low, allowing moisture to work its way into the service line. Additionally the electric company installed a new meter outside but didn’t inform us that the bolts inside the base were badly corroded. Without this inspection we would have never known Our technicians arrived promptly and went right to work correcting the above problems and installing a whole-house surge protector. . They worked well as a team and were very efficient. We now feel safer in our home and prepared for the future with 150 amp service.
