Cassie and Calvin created a beautiful design for our kitchen that provided us a space that functions so much better than our previous kitchen in terms of storage and function. The cabinets are beautiful and provide the organization we needed. Calvin was open to integrating our ideas and was most attentive to our wants and needs. Cassie was our design hero. She has a great eye for design and found materials that were perfect for us. If I had questions during the design process, both Cassie and Calvin were readily available to address our needs. We were given an approximate time for the work phase to begin, and within a week of the estimated start date, demo began. Lloyd and Nathan were leaders in the work phase. They were terrific to work with, easy to talk to, and they kept us well informed every day about what to expect next. Nathan and his crew were very respectful and took great care in our home. Each evening they cleaned the work area and we didn't have to do a thing. Project managers, Eric and/or Zach visited the house daily to check on the progress and responded quickly to any issues that came up. As the project was near completion, they checked in to see if we had any questions or concerns and immediately took care of final details. Customer satisfaction was a top priority for them, and we are definitely satisfied. Every one at KBD did an outstanding job, and we can't be more pleased with our new kitchen and 2 bathroom jobs they did at the same time. Great job to you all!

What we finally chose was perfect. Genuine craftmanship was exhibited with our installation. I found that very rare. Everything was cleaned up every day. We expected that we would need to repaint the bathroom and we did not even need to do that. Even after we finished and the bathroom was paid for, if we needed something to be taken care of there was no problem. We will chose KBD again when we redo our kitchen.

What are the differences between framed, frameless, and inset cabinetry?
Framed cabinetry features a 1.5-inch frame on the front of the cabinet to which the door is attached. Frameless cabinetry, also known as "full access," has the door directly attached to the cabinet box, allowing for wider drawers and accessories. Inset cabinetry has doors that sit flush within the cabinet frame when closed, with either concealed or exposed hinges.
What is the difference between full overlay and standard or traditional overlay doors?
Full overlay doors cover most of the cabinet's face frame, resulting in minimal space between doors. Standard or traditional overlay doors leave more of the face frame visible, creating more space between doors. Due to this design, hardware isn't always necessary to open standard overlay cabinets.
What is the difference between furniture board and plywood construction?
Furniture board is made from engineered wood composite fibers compressed and bonded with resin to form cabinet components. Plywood construction involves compressing multiple thin layers of wood veneer to create panels of the desired thickness for cabinetry.
What is the average timeframe for construction during a remodeling project?
The typical construction period for our remodeling projects ranges from four to six weeks at minimum, from demolition to completion. This timeline may extend due to factors such as installing new flooring, modifying existing wall structures, altering the current layout, or waiting for replacement materials.
What are the standard lead times for cabinetry?
Our manufacturers can provide custom cabinetry in as little as three to six weeks. We're happy to verify specific lead times with our manufacturers when you're selecting your cabinetry.
What is the shipping process for cabinetry orders?
After placing a cabinetry order, customers are informed of the expected shipping date. Once shipped, our project coordinator will communicate the anticipated delivery date to our delivery service. Upon arrival, the coordinator will consult with you to arrange the most convenient date and time for in-home delivery.
