Mostly good, but several workmanship issues
Creekside Coverings recently completed our outdoor stair reconfiguration project, transforming our straight stairway into a more functional design with a landing and a 90-degree turn onto a paver patio. While the team finished on schedule, the final result revealed some craftsmanship challenges.
The project's core functionality meets our expectations. However, in our opinion, certain details fall short of what we would consider more commonly-used construction practices. Key observations follow.
1. The deck planks on the landing are installed parallel to the support joists. This necessitated the addition of blocking between the joists. The blocking was added after the deck planks were secured to the landing frame. In addition, the decking appears to be fastened only to the landing's frame, without direct attachment to the joists or blocking.
2. The newly-constructed landing appears to have been designed without sufficient attention to detail, in our opinion. The shape of the landing necessitated the placement of an additional railing post adjacent to an existing post on the landing to properly secure the bottom section staircase railing.
3. The two new posts on the new landing are slightly different in size than the original posts, and their caps do not match the existing post caps.
The contractor mentioned these items to us after they were already installed on the stairway, and he told us that they would not affect functionality.
Photographic documentation accompanies our review to provide clear visual context for these observations.
With attention to the observations above, this would easily be a five star project.

I can’t say enough about this company and crew. Shawn and his team are by far the best people I’ve ever dealt with when it comes to a home improvement project. I had a crappy old carport that was dangerous and rotting. Shawn and his crew built a new carport that is beautiful and much safer for my family and I. They did anything and everything I asked of them and stayed well past 7pm to get the job done in a quick two days. I was worried about never being able to have this eyesore replaced due to costs, etc and yet Creekside coverings delivered for me and my family. I’ll be a customer for life. Thanks guys!

I can’t say enough of what a master craftsman Shawn is. He was amazing every step of the way. He helped design our custom screened in gazebo. He helped us through several design submittals due to HOA restrictions. Once we got final HOA approval Shawn was ready to build right away. He kept us informed through every step of the build. We researched dozens of gazebo options and Creekside Coverings is miles above the competition. Outstanding workmanship and outstanding customer service!!

Creekside Coverings installed an interior board and batten accent wall for us in a bedroom. Their communication was great (quick and responsive), they were able to come out within days of requesting their services, and the end result looks great.
