Owning a rental property and managing it from out of state can be tough, but Chris was someone I could trust to do the job properly. He was extremely communicative, honest and trustworthy, not to mention he was able to get me on the schedule quickly and finish the roof in just 1 day. What concerned me most is that CR Roofing's contract doesn't require customer approval before replacing decking-even for an entire roof. This meant I had no opportunity to review the scope of the additional work or get a second opinion before the work was completed and billed. My recommendation to others: Before signing any roofing contract, consider adding a clause requiring written customer approval for all change orders-especially deck replacement work, regardless of scope or cost. Having that protection in your contract gives you more control over unexpected expenses.
