I would not recommend this company for anything related to water heaters - I had their technician visit my house for an issue with my tankless water heater - before looking at the problem in detail he recommended buying a new tankless water heater - red flag. Then when I questioned more he said there are a lot of problems in the water heater and changing everything will cost $1400. Something didn’t fee right and I did not get it fixed from them and called another plumber for a second opinion - turns out all it needed was flushing the water heater and changing one outer pipe as a precaution. Total less than a fraction of what I was quoted. Please do your research before hiring them.

Ashton Collins is one of the most polite and knowledgeable technicians with which I have ever had the pleasure of working. He turned a very scary situation into a pleasant working relationship. He is an asset to Apex because he truly cares about the customer. I will always call Apex for my electrical needs now because Ashton demonstrated wonderful customer service skills and knowledgeable technical ability. Thank you Apex and Ashton for such a great experience dealing with my electrical repair.
A very happy customer,

Using their online scheduler, I booked an estimate for a panel replacement. After scheduling the appointment, no kind of confirmation was communicated. At 8:45 the morning of the scheduled appointment, I received a text saying my window was between 9-9:30. This was the first time I heard anything from the company. At 9:30, I received a text saying my tech was on his way. By 10:30, the tech still hadn't arrived. Not wanting to move forward with an organization that demonstrated such poor organizational and communicative skills, I called and asked them to please cancel the estimate as we would not be moving forward. At 10:40 the tech showing up at my door and I relayed the same thing in person. They may do fine work, I wouldn't know, but I'm not going to roll the dice and commit to thousands of dollars of electrical work with a company that demonstrates an inability to navigate fundamental business processes.

David Crowe was the project manager for my new furnace installation. I did not realize that as a project manager, he is not licensed. David told me many things that was incorrect with my current furnace. Things such as the furnace isnt big enough for my house, the unit was mounted incorrectly. So based on the information I was provided by him, I decided to buy a new furnace. Now, I live in a new build that is only 3 years old. I had APEX install the new furnace. The people that did the install were great. Very happy with their performance. When I went back to my builder to explain to them what happened with the original furnace, they didnt believe what was happening. My home builder asked for specific details about why the furnace was too small, and how it was installed incorrectly. I went back to David Crowe to assist me with these specific requests for my builder. This is where David informs me that he is not licensed, and is not able to put in writing the things he told me which led me to purchase a new furnace. Even the initial tech that came out to diagnose my furnace was not allowed to update his findings to include the specific prices of information that my builder was asking for. I went back to my builder empty handed, and they told me that I was scammed, and there is nothing they will do. Moral of the story is to always get a second opinion. I’m mad at myself for not doing that. But this was in the winter, and they were threatening to possibly turn my gas off because my old furnace was not in good enough shape to keep it running. I feel like I was the victim of high pressure sales tactics, and ultimately did not need a new furnace. Now I’m out over $8000.00 for a new furnace that works really well, but I didn’t ultimately need. Be careful out there, and always get a second opinion.

I had 2 technicians enter my home with attitudes. Very short, without any tools or testing were quoting me a total guts replacement for my hot water tank. Which they also told me wouldn’t be in stock till after Christmas without first even contacting their warehouse. I know my burner was clean and I’m only having issues with the thermo coupler. A $40 part. They obviously didn’t want to be at work or have to do any maintenance and just wanted to give me a quote and move on. Their attitudes were even noted by my wife and kids. So I called to make a formal complaint about their customer service. Before I had even gotten off the phone after being transferred internally I was flagged down by my wife that the technicians wanted to talk to me. I was then confronted about my complaint by the technicians in my front yard. I told them it was probably for the best if they just moved on. And I got one last snarky “good luck” as they turned to leave. I will never use this company or refer them to anyone I know. Being the top result on google does not mean as much as you think.
