This company has a fantastic customer service structure. Everyone in the office is extremely efficient, professional and pleasant. The one blemish during my experience was the technician named Derek L. He was very unpleasant, smug, rude and left my home with a process unfinished. He acted like he hates his job. He also failed to walk me through his work before he left. Derek provided a lot of good information, but it was all oral and difficult to remember... specifically how to perform one of the maintenance steps that he recommended. He also placed multiple company-name stickers on my appliances, including the water heater, which he did not touch or service. (Taking credit for something he did not do)
As a result of his visit, I had to request a followup visit to complete the work. During that visit, Kahlil was very pleasant, efficient and patient. He provided the required information and completed the unfinished work from the first visit.
Suggestion: perhaps the technicians could provide a basic, written list of recommended maintenance tips at the end of the service call, rather than verbally stating a list which is important, but difficult to remember.

VEH has become my go-to plumbing and heating company. I own a 1930 home and have relied on their services several times over the past few years for a variety of projects, including a new boiler, water tank installation, and multiple pipe replacements. They are consistently professional, friendly, fairly priced, and have truly come through for me in emergencies.
Last month, during subzero temperatures and a snowstorm, a pipe burst overnight in my basement. I placed an emergency call after hours and left a message with the automated system. Although the message relayed to the technician was inaccurate, Derek L called me back immediately. He came out during the snowstorm to assess the situation and helped restore enough water flow to keep my boiler running so I wouldn’t be without heat. We did have to tolerate a small stream of water from the pipe until a full repair could be made, but it allowed us to keep the heating system operational.
There was some understandable scheduling confusion with the office staff due to the extreme weather and high call volume, and the initial plan was to send plumbers the following week. However, once I explained that water was still leaking and I had no hot water (the broken pipe was connected to the water tank), they arranged service for the very next day.
Carmen F and Joe arrived to complete the repair and did an outstanding job. The pipe was difficult to access, yet they worked together to find a solution without opening the wall. Carmen also pointed out some items that will need attention in the near future, which I appreciated because it helps me plan ahead.
I’m very grateful for the entire VEH team. Their expertise with older homes is the best in the area.
Hot Water Boiler Tune-Up. Jeff P performed my HW Boiler Service which was the free with my annual home plan contract.
He checked about 22 items which included cleaning the ignition, checking CO levels around the furnace and showed me photos of the condition of manifold. Verifying that there are no CO leaks is reassuring.
I purchased the annual plan to get a discount on past and future planned plumbing projects. The Tune-up is an added bonus.

The company itself is the eh framework. Bryan however showed up on time, spoke in real terms, and toed the company line while keeping it real. Good dude who lived up to his word. He had a cool Joe and Kyle assisting and they were easy to chat with and hard working. Bryan set the tone and made the entire experience enjoyable. To be clear - every single person I interacted with at (insert long company name here) was fantastic. They’re lucky to have people like Joe, Kyle and Bryan showing up and actually caring about doing the work. This is not a paid advertisement. I’m just a dude. Thanks!

Jeff P. solved 2 rapidly worsening problems with our boiler. It was continuously flooding itself & turning off. At other times it was either turning off for no apparent reason or not coming on when the thermostat had dropped up to 4 degrees below where it was set on HOLD at 70 degrees. He figured it all out, installed some new parts, and clearly explained why these things were happening and why they should no longer happen. I am impressed with his knowledge & expertise with our 1928 heating system with a 2012 boiler, as well as his exceptional courtesy & professionalism.
