  Robert was promptly on time and worked diligently to get the insulation project going and worked through some difficult issues. His tenacity was apparent in his workmanship and attitude to make sure the customer was satisfied and the job was completed within contracted terms.

  My experience with Home Genius has been amazing. The experience with them coming out doing the inspection and very thorough with the inspection. They also explained everything and were completely honest about what was needed for my roof. Hunter was my project manager and the lines of communication were completely open with him. He kept me in the loop of everything. I would definitely recommend Home Genius to anyone for a new roof or repairs.

  I love the way my house turned out! I would have given five stars, but the communication With the project management team was very poor. I had scheduled my siding to be replaced while I was out of town on vacation for two weeks. Imagine my surprise when I came home from vacation to discover that my materials hadn’t even been delivered, Much less the project hadn’t been started. I had to make several phone calls to find out why my project hadn’t been started. The very least I should’ve received a text message or a phone call from the project manager saying hey we have a problem getting a project underway… When you spend about $20k to have siding put on your house, A fair reasonable expectation would be that you would get a phone call… Outside of that, Once the project got started, everything went off without a hitch! And again, I love the way my house looks, so I’m not disappointed in that at all. The quality and workmanship of my project was top-notch!

  I hired Home Genius Exteriors for a roof replacement. When Michael from Home Genius Exteriors came to my house he explained how the company would replace my roof and repair the damaged soffit on the house. The soffit was not repaired. After the roof replacement I reached out to three different employees of Home Genius Exteriors to attempt to schedule a date for the soffit repair. I didn’t receive a response from any of them. I was eventually able to communicate with other employees of the company, but could not get them to schedule a date for the soffit repair. When I realized Home Genius Exteriors was not concerned with completing the project by repairing the soffit I suggested negotiating a new price. All my attempts to get the soffit repaired by Home Genius Exteriors or negotiate a new price fell on deaf ears.

  The person who knocked on my door asked for a Google review good or bad so that's what I am doing. 1 star for showing up, 1 star for use of technology and high degree of knowledge, 1 star for all 3 people involved in the scheduling being sweet and nice people. Loss of 1 star for length of time start to finish. 90minutes start to finish estimated, but was double that. 6pm scheduled, 6.30arrival finished at 9pm and that was with me needing to cut the inspection process short as well as the final handoff so it would have been perhaps 4hours if I would have let it. Perhaps its a sign of being thorough but it does concern me that they struggle to have accurate estimates on how long things take and erodes trustworthiness in the quoting process. Loss of 1 star for poor communication between the company entities. I notice that 2 or 3 others in the reviews have commented on this, including someone just a month ago. It has been my personal experience that the best home contractors are able to let a nice thorough and organized quote do the talking and there is no need for a lengthy complicated handoff. Additionally, when multiple departments in big companies get involved communication breakdowns can happen and this can be a bad sign for project management down the road. So I requested for a brief handoff from the person knocking on the door, that person said he would pass that request on. The scheduler person that called me the day before I reiterated my brief handoff request and they said they would add it to the estimator notes. The scheduler called me to confirm the appointment and I asked her if the brief handoff was added to the estimators notes. Upon arrival I asked the estimator if they received my request for a brief handoff and they said no. I pointed out that it was a sign of poor communication within the company. A note to the estimator, you shared way too much information with me at the handoff. You didn't need to explain what was going on in those pictures (although it did help get you part of a star as you showed off your knowledge, it was too much info at this stage). Also, why did you give me a 25percent discount that I never asked for? It probably sounded like you are being nice to me but makes me think you have hidden costs in your quote or you arent sure of what your margin needs to be. I have more trust in people who simply give me their price. Maybe I'll go with these people maybe I won't, but perhaps this thorough review can help the company clean up a few areas.
