  Beware of this company. Our furnace wasn't running this weekend so we called Apollo Home to come take a look at our furnace. The tech they sent spent 15 minutes with our unit before declaring a breach in our heat exchanger, requiring a full HVAC replacement. He told me that it would be unsafe to run our furnace especially with children in our home. Seeking out a second opinion, another HVAC company in Cincinnati arrived at our home a few hours later. They had our furnace up and running in five minutes, ran a full combustion report and spent over an hour scoping the inside of our heat exchanger. Our furnace was given a clean bill of health. This tech, who was able to fix our problem, also questioned the need to look at the heat exchanger at all. Except in order to aggressively pressure me into replacing our entire HVAC system. Suffice it to say, I will never use Apollo Home ever again and I wish I had listened to the negative reviews online before doing business with them at all.

  I contacted Apollo to perform an electrical inspection on the breaker panel in a home that I am selling. They were able to schedule the same day, and were very easy to schedule with. James Westerkamm was the technician that came to do the inspection. He was very thorough and knowledgeable, and made sure any questions I had were answered. Due to new code requirements I would need a new breaker, service entrance, and new meter box. I was shocked by the price quoted, however after multiple quotes, their price was not astronomical, and was right in line with the other quotes I received. Andrea and James worked together to not only answer any questions I had but to also provide for the best possible price, all after hours. James even gave me some new putty to put around the service wire entrance into the home, since my problem was due to water intrusion. He absolutely did not need to do that, and I was not charged for an inspection. I did not contract with Apollo, because I was able to renegotiate with the buyers of the home, however, I would not hesitate to have them do the work if it was required to sell the home. Their service went beyond expectation. Thank you to the Apollo team for the dedication to exceptional service.

  The service was unbelievably quick! Another company was making me wait 6 days before they came!! Your technician was here in less than 2 hours! James Westerkamm came and was very knowledgeable and honest and answered all my questions patiently. I signed up for the service plan and am so thrilled to have the free check ups on different systems. As a senior home owner it gives me real peace of mind to have a company I can trust to work with for care for my older home. Thank you Apollo, I will refer you to everyone I know! BTW I think you should give James $10, he is great!! 😀

  Austin and Colin were great. Austin was very pleasant and explained everything that was going on for the day. My wife was comfortable, which is very important, since I was going to work. I got to know him a little bit by discussing the Army, in which we both served. The clean up was great and they did great prep work before I left for work. I also called when they had finished. My wife had me on speaker, and she was very happy about the clean up. Overall it was a very pleasant experience. Thank you Apollo for sending both Austin and Colin to address our needs. I will recommend your company to my friends and family in the future.

  Nathan did a great job after our first Apollo technician left the gas running without a flame, thus filling our house with natural gas. Post fire department, post gas company stops, Nathan showed up, quickly diagnosed the true furnace issue, got the parts ordered and installed and fixed quickly and efficiently the next day. Nathan did a great job explaining how everything works and is an excellent TECHNICIAN! I wish Apollo would let their techs just be techs. This is where the 5 star rating ends and 1-2 star rating starts. Post diagnosing the issue I felt like I was dealing with a used car’s salesman. He originally quoted me $2K for a gas valve replacement ($100 part) if I wasn’t in their care program but after all the fire department debacles and “talking to his manager” he gets me down to $1,200 (we’re taking $500 off, sounds great right). I started questioning because that still didn’t feel right and he took another $100 off. I wasn’t trying to haggle nor do I want to deal with haggling for home repairs, so the whole exchange was awkward. I left without much choice because I have young children and needed my heat but the cost just didn’t feel right to me. The next day I called a 2nd company in to give a 2nd opinion. They did find the exact same issue (again, Nathan is an awesome tech so diagnosed it correctly) but they quoted $700 with their care program. No haggling, no eye rolling on my part, just an upfront, honest and reasonable quote. Thanks again to Nathan for fixing this specific issue, but I will be cancelling my Apollo care program and going with this other company going forward. I do not want to me floored every time work is needed/suggested by Apollo’s crazy quoting process.
