  Had two garage door springs replaced (one of the old ones broke). Called on a Monday and got an appointment for the next day. Technician was on time, called ahead, very polite and professional, and did an excellent job. Door works better than ever now. Price was reasonable for two springs and the 6 year warranty is great. 5 Star service.

  A&E Door is one of our GREAT local and long standing companies! They stand behind everything they do. My garage door and opener are going on 27 years old and have only required maintenance on 2 occasions. Both times they restored the door and opener to perfect operation, coming out within 24 hours of calling (non-emergency), and took care of the services in a single trip for a charge well below what my time is worth! The last tech, Tommy, was knowledgeable and efficient at solving problems!! Excellent Service!

  I am TOTALLY satisfied with our tech. He was here before and is very knowledgeable about all aspects of the garage door system. He secured both sides of the garage door which needed additional bolts. And helped me program our new keypad.

  I specifically asked and was told the appointment would be in the afternoon. I wanted to be present because I made the appointment and was paying the bill. Instead, the technician came at 8:15 am. I changed my schedule and went to the site He said he was going to start working on replacing the seal because that is what the lady in the house thought he was going to do. I asked if he had tried to adjust the door yet and he said no. He adjusted the door and it worked fine. I was also a little annoyed that I was not told about the 2% extra fee for a credit card when presented the bill. If I had been told the payment terms before the service was provided, I would have been prepared with a check or cash. Your $190 service call rate is over twice the charge of all your competitors popping up on my Facebook feed. I thought paying extra for “the best” would make the transaction easier. It did not. I will say the technician was experienced and handled the issue professionally. This is a back office or management mistake.

  Our insulated double garage door spring broke and I reached out to three companies for an estimate. AE Doors is the only company that gave me an estimate over the phone and the estimate was actually the same after arrival and evaluation. Also, it was unbelievably the lowest estimate of the three. The first company I called that came out gave an outrageously expensive estimate and tried to justify it by saying we had an insulated door. This company is one we have used for years and I just knew the estimate was extremely higher than any previous service for spring replacement that we have done in the past. When I questioned them about the extremely inflated price, they then said they would check with the boss and see about getting some discount. They came back with a $200 discount and at that price It was still extremely inflated. I chose to send them on their way. The second company I reached out to was a solo owner who had a relatively new company. His price was much better, but I was concerned that this company did not have years of service to rely upon. And, finally I reached out to AE Door. I have heard of AE doors for years and years and seen many of their advertisements, but have never used them before. I’ve heard good things, but I believed Incorrectly that they were going to be expensive. As I said, initially, AE door was the lowest estimate. But that alone has not made me extremely satisfied. I was very impressed with the customer service- the efficient, timely arrival of the technician. And the efficient, timely replacement of the springs. Also, the price did not change from the quote that was given over the phone. We will definitely use AE doors again in the future!!
