  3 years after installation of a granite island countertop and sink, and both the countertop and sink are no longer secured. The granite slab was not attached using any braces, and only glued on two sides. It's not too surprising to see now that it's sliding and I will need to pay to have it fixed. The sink became loose after only a year, and has only gotten worse since, The brackets were incorrectly installed leaving a lot of room for movement. Frustrated I haven't been able to get in touch with anyone about these issues, and will now need to pay $$ to have these things fixed after only 3 years. Avoid this company if you can.

  Buyer Beware!!!! I would be cautious about doing business with this company. I purchased granite counter tops from Lowe’s and Sims-Lohman. At no time was this deal transparent and quickly changed from a $1900 purchase to a $2500 purchase. Then the window I was given on the install was for 10:30am to 12:00pm. the installers showed up at 1:00pm with no calls or apologies for my having to wait around for them. Then when backing the truck up my drive, they drove on the lawn leaving ruts for me to have to repair at my expense. Upon entry to my home the installers then informed me they cannot install the counter tops unless the plumbing was removed. I asked Lowe’s about this during my purchase and they stated it would be taken care of by the installers. The Sims- Lohman installer who came to measure the space was also asked and reiterated the same statement that was made by the Lowe’s representative. Unfortunately for me that was not as stated, and I had to remove the plumbing in order to receive my new counter tops and sink. After the installation they never even installed the sink drain so, I was left with my water off and no plumbing hook ups so, the water could not be turned back on. After calling the plumber on an emergency call to come out and fix my situation that cost me another $500 bringing my total to now $3000. When I complained to both Lowe’s and Sims-Lohman, I was told there is a statement in my contract that disclosed the plumbing was my responsibility. I never seen that statement nor, did I really get to review the contract as the agent at Lowe’s talks through it then turns the computer screen towards you only when it’s time for you to electronically sign that space. Bottom line, don’t do business with companies that have shady business practices and if I could do it all over again I would have taken my business elsewhere. Buyer Beware!!!

  Update (5/29/24): I attached a photo of the sink separated from the counter. This is less than 3 years after installation. Was incorrectly installed using only glue, not brackets. Cost of repair: $875. Will never use this company again. Three men finally show up to install my countertops though I was never given an estimated time for their arrival in my email and phone call to inquire when on answered until after they were already there. After a few minutes they are standing there scratching their head but talking in Spanish so I had no idea what was wrong. I finally asked him to share with me what the problem was as the countertop was not fitting correctly. I asked if it was measured wrong or cut wrong and they said it was probably a little bit of both. Then they proceeded to put the braces on backwards. They continued to speak in Spanish so I had no idea what they were talking or laughing about the whole time. They had two seams in my countertop in which they used a dark colored grout and this makes the seams look very obvious. I cannot recommend them.
