Terrible customer service. This business was extremely rude to me. I would avoid ever doing business with people like this.

I had a gentleman by the name of Kyle D, out of all the people I had shoe up yo my house asking about my roof this guy was the best not only did he break down everything for me to understand but he also went into great details about everything as well, I'd say if it wasent for him I probably would still be looking at roofs.

Had siding done with HGE. Contractors were difficult to communicate with and were clearly just a bid on cheap labor, and not direct members of their team. Additionally to that, a project manager was not on site during any of the installation days. We were in contact with one, and he did resolve all the issues I brought up, but we never met him or talked to him. All issues had to be resolved after the fact, and would have been much more efficient to bring it up during construction. The contractors really had no direction or clear instruction on the project. They covered up outlet and light wiring until I came and pointed it out after siding was being put over it. We had different light blocking that I specifically told them where each one goes, but due to language barrier, that got messed up too (was corrected). The biggest issue is the attempted to side over our original and rotted front siding. I knew this because they already papered over it, and doubled up insulation to match the thickness of the siding that was still left on. I even did half the work for them and tore down half of it while they were off on the weekend. Once pointed out to the PM after they left, they did come back the next day and do it correctly. All of these things only were resolved because I called them out. I was home during the entire install, and what if I wasn't? A lot of corners were attempted to be cut if I wasn't the acting project manager on site. And when we signed up for this project, I was excited to have someone else do the work, be stress free, and have it done by professionals that could do a great job and get it done much faster than if I did it myself. We received the opposite though and I was extremely stressed the entire process while trying to hold the contractors to a somewhat acceptable bar. The finished product, however, we are happy with. It looks good and we are glad that it is complete. That is the only reason I am not leaving 1 star. However again, I only know it was done correctly and the noted corners were not cut because I had to step in constantly. The HGE team did step in and resolve the on going issues during install, but I am lucky to actually know what work was going on, and that I was home to see the issues. The contractors need to be held to a higher standard and at least have a professional from your team come out during the process to make sure things are aligned with the clients vision. Im not on your payroll, so why was I the one having to step in so much? So no I would not recommend HGE to anyone else with the experience we went through. The end result looks good, but any contractor that knows siding should be able to get to that same result. Its the process it took to get there, and HGE clearly hired the lowest bid on contractors, and then did not give them proper supervision to complete the work properly without intervention.
