Waking up to your fully finished (and furnished) basement flooded is never good. Josh and his team at RestoPros of Dayton were able to get to our place and begin to get the water and damaged items out within hours of our call! Everyone communicated efficiently and the project was completed with as little of stress as possible. They even worked with our insurance company.

My experience with Restopros was not a positive one. My basement flooded from a rain storm. I requested a quote from their company. The came out the next day and they were very nice. I wanted to get a few quotes to compare companies. I agreed to let them start the job since other companies couldn’t get out that soon. Upon filing a claim with my insurance company, I found out that I was greatly underinsured. I asked them to let me know where we were with the work that had been completed already. The carpet and padding had been ripped up and the trim removed. Fans were placed to begin the drying process. So far it had already surpassed what my insurance coverage was, so i asked them to stop where they were. I have friends that that do construction and could help me out. We agreed to leave the (about 20) air movers in place for an additional week to dry out as much as possible. The owner Josh came to advise us on what steps should be taken. We had a few things going on at the time that would require a lot of money. He advised us of what the entire job would cost and it was well beyond what i wanted to pay. He went over the invoice for work completed and it was around $11,000. We sat down at the table and he took off a lot of the items getting the price down to something more reasonable. He got it down to $9,000, which i still didn’t want to pay. He began to get kind of pushy and pressuring saying all this was necessary. I agreed that some things were important as to not get mold in our basement. He removed a few more items getting it down to $7,800. I still didn’t want to pay that much and every time i said, I wasn’t sure he kept looking at me until I agreed. The insurance paid $5,000. He said pay that and he would work with me and give me time to pay the remainder. I agreed to do those terms. We were in the middle of closing on an investment property that wound up costing way more than it was supposed to. He sent me several invoices with only the total and nothing itemized. I had some emergency family matters that took place during this time also. It was all very overwhelming, which I informed him about. Because of this, it took me a while to get back to him. Fast forward to Friday, I received an email saying he was placing a lien on my house. I responded asking for an itemized invoice which his response was we sat down at your table and discussed it. This was true, but things were definitely missed on my end. He said he emailed one that day. I reviewed it and there were two items on there that he said were necessary and I agreed with, but were never completed. I asked if these two items would be removed and he didn’t even respond. I paid the invoice in full, including the two items that were NOT completed which totaled over $600. I know this was a long review, but there’s was a lot that happened. I would not recommend doing business with this company! The guys that came to do the work were amazing, but the ownership and the rest of the company should be avoided at all costs.

Chris of RestoPros responded quickly to our call for help. This spring (2026) we had some very heavy rain fall. The city storm system was overwhelmed and water packed up into or finished basement.as this was a sewer back up insurance did not cover the cost. RestoPros placed equipment into the basement to draw out the water and dry the carpet and wood paneling. While nothing is cheep anymore, the price was reasonable.
