Furnace quit working. Had a tech from Blind&Sons come take a look. Within 10 minutes, he told me I'd need to replace the entire unit, which would've cost $5000+. I had a small, family owned business come out for a second opinion and not only did he say they were full of it, but that he could fix the current unit for $400.
That was a year ago, and the unit has run fine ever since. When I called them out on their incompetence, they STILL had the nerve to continue trying to sell me the new furnace. Reading through these reviews, I'm not the only one who has had this exact same experience.
In my opinion, these people are not technicians, they're salesman. They either don't know what they're doing, or they'll outright lie to you in order to sell you something, I dont know which. Only use them as a last resort.

Our furnace stopped working on a morning in early February. I called Blind and Sons a little after 9:00 am. When I actually got a live person about 15 minutes later, the woman told me that all the technians were out on calls, but because of the time of year and our furnace not working, someone would come out to repair it as soon as someone was available.
I specifically asked her if she was sure someone would be able to come that day. She said yes and they would call about 30 minutes before coming out. I had said if someone couldn't make it out that day I wanted to know so that I could call someone else. She reassured me that they would be out that day, but maybe not until around 5:00 pm. I said okay and then waited all day for someone to call or show up. No one ever did. At 5:00 pm I tried to call them but only got a recording asking me to leave a message and someone would call me back. I left a message. No one called me back until the morning. My husband and I were very upset. Thankfully we happened to have had unusually warm weather and the low only went down into the 40s. My husband found someone else to come out, before Blind and Sons even called. When they did finally call, I told them to forget it, we already had someone else.
My husband and I are seniors, both with health issues and this could have turned out badly. Thankfully we bundled up and made it. If you have a problem with your furnace, I highly recommend Tropic Air. They came right away and had our problem fixed in about 15 minutes. That's what I call good service!

We had Blind & Sons install a tankless water heater less than 4 years ago and started losing hot water. Technician was courteous and diagnosed the problem quickly which was great. Ended up being a check valve and heating panel needing replaced. Parts were still covered under warranty but charged $285 to diagnose and was quoted $600 to do the labor when the parts come in for a 2 hour job. At a total of $885 all for labor, I plan to call someone else next time

Blind and Sons lost my business. Not exactly sure where to start with the bad review but I will say this company slogan should be “I don’t know.”
This most recent visit was for a salt delivery and to recalibrate my water treatment tank. I was still getting salt deposits after having this installed in Jan 2025. I was told in July 2025 the unit was “doing its job” and I had soft water. This most recent visit I was told the same thing (and also it was a pipe issue.) The whole reason why I purchased this unit FROM BLIND AND SONS, was to protect my appliances. It’s not doing that. After 30-40 minutes we (the tech and myself) finally came to the conclusion of calling tech support and ended up changed 5 settings. I can tell employees do not like finding resolve with issues or like to explain what they are doing to clients in the home to prevent issues from happening again.
The previous visit before this- long story short was about my furnace when I was a member. I am not a member anymore because no one told me it expired??
I am by no means an expert when it comes to hvac. They came out to look at my furnace. At the time it was working fine. A month later it was not. One of the blowers was on its way out. I was quoted $600+ by one tech. Two weeks later the blower goes out and another tech comes out to quote me $1400+ for the same thing. A month after that, so 3 months from the time the initial visit was, a lot of money later, time wasted, 2 supervisors, my furnaces gets fixed.
Don’t get me started on the membership that doesn’t make sense, don’t get me started on the robot. Customer service needs attention.
I will not be a returning customer and I will not be suggesting this place to friends and family. It’s a huge headache and a time suck to call every time.

I am extremely disappointed with the service I received from Blind & Sons. I had trusted them with my boiler service, but this recent experience has significantly damaged that trust.
During their last visit, I was told my boiler had a leak and was beyond repair. This left me without heat during a period when outside temperatures dropped to 7 degrees. I had to rely on a wood burner to prevent my pipes from freezing. I was then quoted approximately $11,000 for a full boiler replacement.
Concerned about the diagnosis and cost, I sought a second opinion. Another service provider determined there was nothing wrong with the boiler itself. Instead, pipes located along an exterior wall had frozen due to the extreme cold. After thawing the pipes, the boiler functioned normally.
The second company also explained that even if there had been a minor internal leak, a boiler sealant product could have been used as a temporary fix to restore heat while evaluating longer-term options. This alternative was never presented to me by Blind & Sons. The only solution offered was full replacement.
I have recordings of my calls with Blind & Sons documenting my attempts to resolve this matter. I requested a refund of the $300 assessment fee due to the incorrect diagnosis. Over the past month, I have made numerous attempts to contact management or accounting, but my calls have not been returned. I am now routinely sent to voicemail without response.
I am simply seeking a fair resolution regarding the $300 assessment fee. Based on my experience, I encourage others to obtain a second opinion before committing to major repairs or replacements.
