    Matt the plumber was absolutely incredible. He came through with such a positive attitude and made me feel comfortable right away. He took the time to inspect everything carefully and explained what needed to be done in a way that was easy for me to understand. What I really appreciated was how honest and patient he was. He didn’t try to pressure me into anything—he simply gave me the facts and helped me make the best decision. You can tell he knows his work and takes pride in it. On top of that, he was just a genuinely cool and respectful person. That kind of energy makes a huge difference when you’re dealing with home issues.     I had an amazing experience with Todd from John Betlem Heating and Cooling. He came out to fix my furnace and thermostat, and from the moment he arrived, he was professional, patient, and extremely knowledgeable. He didn’t just rush through the job—he took his time to explain everything to me step by step so I could actually understand what was going on. That meant a lot to me. Todd made sure everything was working perfectly before leaving, and you can tell he truly cares about doing the job right, not just getting it done. He was very professional, knowledgeable, and took the time to really explain what was going on with my electrical situation. I appreciated how he broke things down so I could understand instead of just using technical terms and rushing through it.     Great people...poor communicators. They replaced my water heater preventatively. The salesman was friendly and appeared to listen well. However, his proposal was boilerplate, and did not include 3 specific items I asked for that he nodded along with when walking through the job. I called him back and he altered the proposal to include those items. The water heater he originally had listed on the proposal was propane (we have natural gas). The altered proposal listed a gas water heater, which was not the water heater that the installation crew brought or installed (luckily, that was no problem with me). When I called to schedule the job, the salesman tells me a window of 8 AM - 12 Noon, but says the crew should be there before 9 AM. Nobody comes until around 11 AM and the salesman does not reply to any text messages or emails. Installation crew says I should have contacted the office. Installation crew of 2 people was very nice and pleasant, but says they do not have the parts to fulfill the work items in the proposal, but they will get them. 5 hours later, the crew says they are done and we look at the job. A pipe is leaking and I point it out and they finally believe me and agree. They do not have the correct part to stop the leak and say they will come back tomorrow. I catch the leak all night in a bucket. I stress to them...please, please just call, text or contact me about your ETA tomorrow. They assure me they will be back early and will text or call. I hear nothing from them the next morning so I call the office after 9 AM and find out they will be on their way "soon". 40 minutes later they show up, around 10 AM and they finish the job. 10% off coupon I received in the mail is only good if they remove any other courtesy "discounts" they list in their proposal, so I had them remove the 6% off they originally gave to get me the 10% off coupon. No discount for spending a day and a half dealing with poor communication and a leaking pipe all night. Sales does not communicate with installation properly. Sales does not communicate with the customer after the proposal is signed. Installation does not communicate effectively with the customer. Office does not communicate easily with customer, sales or installation. Sales will promise the world and deliver whatever installation wants to deliver. Far too much babysitting and handholding needed to get a simple water heater replacement completed. Asking for a drain pan, an additional ball valve and a repair of a nearby corroded water pipe was very difficult to get accomplished, but they did do the job.

    True story, I use to love them. Now, after my experience, I want to shout.. "Beware". They use AI assistant, you do not talk to a real person. So when you call and have an emergency, you are talking to AI. The AI took my information and said it would have someone call me. I never received a call, as a matter of fact, I called the Salesman three days later to cancel a new furnace install. The Salesman laughed, and made it feel like that was a normal thing with the AI. I didn't find having a problem, calling for help and never receiving a call back something to just brush off. You want to know the kicker of the whole thing.. It was the Service Tech's that turned off our furnace in the panel box when they were installing a new water heater and never thought to turn it back on and that is why our home was so cold. My personal opinion from my experience, they need to figure out the one on one calls for at least emergency calls, and I'm just not willing for them to wait to figure it out, I need reliable Service.

    I had to turn off my boiler to move a section of the radiating pipe to accommodate a bathroom remodeling project. I could not turn the boiler back on. I called Bethlehem you turn the boiler back on. Back on dispatched Sylvia and his helper to get an operational again. In a matter of minutes Sylvia explained to me that the pump had frozen up. He checked The maintenance log and said there had been no maintenance and the boiler in 19 years . Sylvio that very succinctly in layman's terms said it was non-reparable and. even if he could replace the pump the balance in the system could never be adjusted because all the venting apparatus was frozen and rusted. A total new heating system would be required at a cost he roughly estimated to be in the 15 to $20,000 range. Sylvio offered to have another one of Bethlehem specialists provide a more accurate estimate for replacement at no cost to me. He's finding me several other options that I could further investigate. He then finalized the bill for the work he had provided and I paid him. The price was very fair for the time he had spent. I was very impressed with his professionalism and knowledge of the system.
