- JPJason PattiNov 8, 20211.0The woman who took the excavator rental reservation has no clue about the actual performance of the machines. The specifications that are published for the machines are vastly overstated. I got stuck with a machine that could not do the one job I really needed it for. I had to spend thousands extra to get another machine to do the lifting. The bucket on the excavator was very small and I could not get the job done in the two weeks that I had good weather. I extended the rental from 1 week to 1 month and still could not get the job done because of the poor weather. When the rental was nearing the end of the 1 month, the conditions were finally good enough to do some last minute work. I called the local place to find out when exactly they were coming to get the machine so I could plan some work ahead of time. They showed up 1.5 hours early and demanded that the machine get loaded even though I had a dump truck on the way!!! I only needed that 1.5 hours and I could have been done with the job!
