- KGKayleigh GasbarreAug 6, 20252.0Our experience with Kornerstone was a rollercoaster to say the least. Our in person meetings were great but communication out side of that was spotty. Emails wouldn’t be answered for days/weeks, the same questions would be need to be answered a few times due to multiple unorganized email threads, or questions just wouldn’t be answered at all. At install there were many issues. Multiple drawer faces were incorrect, there was a miscommunication with the hood design and took a while to fix (and honestly still isn’t “perfect”), some hinges did not work correctly on a drawer, were replaced and still don’t work properly, the wood stain was multiple different colors and took MONTHS to replace. To this day we still are not satisfied with some of our products, but are choosing to hire others to fix it because our kitchen was installed in December and after 6 months we have lost faith it will be fixed.
- PSPaul SoltJul 10, 20255.0Amazing kitchen and experience planning it from start to finish with Rick Frank and construction with Element Design Build. We worked through every detail and iterated on how to use the space effectively in an old 1929 house. Taking a wall down gave us so many new options. We love the space and have delicious home-cooked meals. It’s the perfect chef’s kitchen. Hosting in this space is even better with our geothermal AC (ACES). We installed a BlueStar 6-burner all gas range (fits two half sheets!), KitchenAid dishwasher; microwave, and oven for baking cookies, and a 36/18-in Thermador built-in fridge for all our fruits and veggies. We’re mostly plant-based at home and wanted tons of space for produce and a fast cooking experience. The under cabinet lights, pantry cabinet with slide out drawers, and ceiling lighting plan that Rick helped direct made this space an incredible kitchen and hosting space. The matte black granite from North American Stone brings the space to life. Every appliance is in the best spot and all the work areas have toe kicks. Originally we installed a toe kick heater after removing an old radiator (steam boiler system), but now we have 3 under cabinet air vents from geothermal. All soft close cabinets with stops to prevent banging into tight spaces. Tons of storage under a massive island, and a coffee drink bar for pour over and espresso. We have a full flow water filter from EverPure EF-6000 on the drink sink (no more Brita filters!). Thanks Rick and team!
