I now see why the 5-star rating. On New Years Eve our garage door broke, with vehicles stuck inside. The garage door was hanging on by literally one screw and could have come crashing down at any point. I explained the situation I was in to the guy who answered. Without hesitation, he treated my situation like it was one of his own, like it was his house and his vehicles. He explained how dangerous and heavy the door itself was and was so worried about potential damage to my trucks. Dan was at my house within a matter of two hours, repairing my garage door, fixing the situation and ensuring my vehicles and my home were safe, as if it was his own. 716 Garage Door client for life. This company gets it. Nice to know good owner operators still exist in today's world.

Bob, came in to my garage to install a new door. The first thing he did after introducing himself was walk through what he was going to get done, mapping out his timeline to completion. He made sure I didn't have any questions and then he went off to work. Every bit of the work he did was neat and professional. He took the time to answer my question that I had for him as he was working., again taking the time to make sure I completely understood what was getting done. After my new door was fully installed Bob then took the time to walk me through the door operation and made sure I was fully satisfied with the work he had done. Bob left my garage absolutely spotless when he was finished, not even a scrap of cardboard was found in or out of my garage. The quality of the work done was Outstanding! Bob took a lot of pride in his work and he took pride in working for 716 Garage Door Repair!

Our garage door decided to die on a Friday evening with our cars locked inside. We called 716 Garage Door Repair and arrangements were made for a repair person to come out the following morning. We did not expect service so quickly, and on a Saturday. Our repair person was Tony. We couldn't have asked for a nicer, young man. He quickly assessed the problem and explained our options. Tony spent extra time with us to set up the garage door opener app and link it to our phones. Thank goodness! The office staff were pleasant and sent texts or called us to keep us updated. I would strongly recommend this company. Debbie

I wanted to give a 5 star review, but its just not quite there. My garage door wasn't opening and closing properly. It's old. The first guy, I think his name was John, he was great. John looked around, took the time to show me what was wrong and what my options were. Of course it was a full replacement. I had no issues with that, the door was minimum 25 years old with barely more than a a handful of times being 'maintained', I just used it.
I wasn't happy (especially at this time of year) to wait two weeks for the door to come in, but it is what it is.
Two weeks later, the appointment was made and Angel was here to do the install. Agnel was on time and very polite. I left him to do his work. He had the door up very quickly!! I quickly watched it open and close once or twice, it looked good to me. (What do I know, this is not my area of expertise.) We paid the balance and Angel left.
Ok, here's the "-1 STAR" part. I noticed that the key release for the door wasn't installed. Also, there was no handle on the door to lift it manually if I ever needed. This is a detached garage and it has no man door, just the main garage door. If the power goes out, both of these features are necessary. I made this very clear to John and when Angel first arrived, I told him about not having a man door. You wouldn't think I'd have to explain this to people that do it for a living. (Both of these issues have been addressed by 716 Garage Door. They will be back to install the key release and I *CAN* pay to have a handle installed, but the doors don't come with them.) That's fine, but probably should have been explained prior to. It's not the end of the world. Even all this wasn't the reason for the -1 star. After going back to garage to fully inspect and put my garage back together I started noticing things. It was like he picked up his tools and left when he was done. Nuts, bolts, screws, washers, etc. all over the floor. There were a few other things, I'm not going to nit pick Angel publicly, but lets say 'attention to detail' was not his strength.
All said and done, I'd hire them again. The price was reasonable. Everyone I've dealt with has been pleasant and the door works as expected. This should be a 5 star, but picking up screws on the ground where I drive my car was not ideal.

This review is based purely off my initial interactions with 716 and their rep, Marc, vs. other door contractors we spoke to. 716 was the most professional from the get go. Their answering service was kind, courteous and even offered tips to try and help us get through the day before I was able to truly diagnose and identify the problem.
They sent Marc over to us same day to get his professional diagnosis and recommendations. At no point was Marc pushy or trying to over or upsell us on anything. He took the time to discuss every single option available to us (despite us knowing and leaning towards a full replacement before even talking to him).
Marc patiently answered all of my questions and explained the pros and cons of each option ranging from a simple spring repair, a hardware rebuild and full door replacement. Ultimately, the wife and I ended up agreeing that a full replacement was going to be in our best interest and that was done with ZERO coaxing from Marc. 716's reputation here in the Google reviews and from recommendations within our community spoke for itself and was backed up by this pleasant experience. Our replacement is expected to be installed in 4-6 weeks along with free repair of the spring in the next day or so, so that we can continue to use the door as intended in the mean time.
Other companies I spoke too simply showed up tools in hand and immediately started trying to complete unapproved work without even reviewing the condition of the door and hardware or even discussing cost of the work they wanted to complete. I get the point of running a business is to make $ but you should also be expected to balance that with a healthy appreciation of customer care and expectation.
To sum all this up: While the route we chose and 716 weren't the cheapest option nor the most expensive for that matter, their professionalism, attitude and guidance felt the most genuine and reliable and I feel 100% confident in my decision to use them for this project.
