Centre Millwork has been a family owned business since it began in 1949. Located originally on Centre St, where the current City Hall sits, we relocated in 1970 to Long Beach Blvd right at the foot of the Long Beach Bridge. Our prime location has helped us support Long Beach as well as the rest of Long Island for almost 70 years. We are an old fashioned lumberyard that continues to provide competitive pricing and friendly customer service. Most of our staff are from Long Beach or the surrounding communities, so we maintain that local feel of a beach town business where everyone knows everyone. - FKFelix KAug 31, 20255.0I used Centre Millwork & Supply to order decking materials for my new composite deck. The point person was Brian. Brian went above and beyond during our interaction. He was very knowledgeable during the order process, guiding us through the intricacies of Trex decking. He then placed our order on his day off, once we finalized it, just so we don't waste any time. He also honored a price that was previously quoted to me over the phone, even though I didn't remember the name of the person I spoke with. After the order had been placed, he informed me that because of the side of the order, the manufacturer discounted the price of the materials, and he was passing that discount on to me! Incredible service, as far as I'm concerned. Most of the interaction was done over the email and in a timely manner. I can't recommend Brian and Centre Millwork & Supply for all your decking needs. So I was dismayed and hurt by my recent experience. I was told on the phone that I could Yes, Sure, get help figuring out a project, reassembling a table, as I needed advice on exactly which screws to use. I needed only 8. And brought in parts to get exact fitting screws. I was shocked and hurt by how I was treated, told I had the dumbest tool ever seen, ( which I love and works well), told It was not a furniture store and I was misinformed on the phone. I did get help with exact sized screws, but felt scolded for asking and condescended to as a single woman who needed help and advice. I left insulted and hurt by my treatment and experience in what I consider a go-to neighborhood place.
