Frequently Asked Questions About Dependable Roll-Off Service
For how long is the dumpster rental?
Our standard dumpster rental period is between seven to ten days. If you require additional time, please contact our office, and we'll do our best to accommodate your needs. In most cases, we're able to extend the rental period. If you finish earlier than expected, we'd be happy to retrieve the dumpster sooner. Just give our office a call when you're done.
What does the price include?
The dumpster rental price covers a single delivery and removal of your chosen roll-off dumpster, a specified disposal weight allowance, and applicable New York State sales taxes.
Is there a fee if I go over my weight limit?
Yes, there is an additional charge for exceeding the weight limit. We apply a fee of $100 per ton over the allotted weight limit for the dumpster size you've selected.
Will my dumpster have a door that swings open?
Indeed, your dumpster will be equipped with a hinged door that opens. This door is located at the rear end of the dumpster for easy access.
How will you protect my driveway from damages?
As part of our delivery service, we take precautions to protect your property. We typically place plywood or wood blocks beneath the dumpster, which is usually sufficient to prevent any potential damage to your driveway.
How is the weight of my debris determined?
We use a precise weighing process at the disposal facility. First, the truck with the full dumpster is weighed (gross weight). After emptying the dumpster, the truck is weighed again (tare weight). The debris weight is calculated by subtracting the tare weight from the gross weight. These scales are regulated by state authorities to ensure accuracy.
What materials are prohibited?
We prohibit several materials for safety and environmental reasons. These include hazardous waste, dirt, industrial waste, chemical products, oil filters, herbicides, pesticides, radioactive material, solvents, liquid paint (dried latex paint cans are acceptable), flammable liquids, aerosol cans, propane tanks, motor oil, transmission oil, lubricating/hydraulic oil, contaminated oils, antifreeze, appliances, and petroleum-contaminated soil or lead paint chips. If you're unsure about a particular item, please contact our office for clarification.
