Carpet depot did my carpets twice, so I think I got a good idea how they operate. First they come to the house and quote you a price. Now this price is probably 30% higher then what any normal carpet installer would charge. So you kinda have to know what the carpet install is worth or they with pretty much rob you blind. You can talk them down to a reasonable price but only after showing them quotes of other guys. I suggest you go to Lowes / Home Depot to get a decent idea of a good price. So if you catch the price gouging and get a reasonable deal, you will have to call the day prior to get an install window. Now remember this is a pretend install window that will change the next day. So if you take time off work, it’s better to guess randomly at a time they will be there instead of going with when they say you will be there, because when they say they will be there it’s absolutely not when when they will be there. Call the day of the install and get your new install window, don’t mention how it changed, it will only anger them. Still though, they will be 1/2-1 hour late to this new install window and install your carpet. So if you want terrible service in your carpet install, Carpet Depot is the way to go.

I just ordered waterproof vinyl plank flooring from the Carpet Depot Levittown store for my upstairs bathroom (instead of tile), and noticed a lot of these negative reviews. I have always been happy with Carpet Depot, and am surprised at a lot of what I've been reading here... Aside from the flooring I just bought, Carpet Depot installed a high end blue pin dot Milliken carpet in my bedroom about four years ago. The installers did an excellent job, were on time, professional and neat. Four years later and the carpet still looks brand new. Prior to that I have had Carpet Depot install hardwood (Bruce / Natural Maple) in my dining room - which still looks great. I've had only good experiences with them and will continue to use them.

Don’t believe the $399 for 3 rooms of carpet deal. It’s a scam. I called many months ago for a quote on 3 bedrooms and was quoted WAY more than the $399 since according to them, it only applies for remnants and if the room is like the size of a closet. What a joke! We ended up calling Ari Carpet in East Meadow, which wasn’t much cheaper but still cheaper and also they don’t lure you in with false ads. If not there, there’s always Home Depot but they’re the most expensive of all!
