- K7Kamden 77May 12, 20241.0Would not return…Rented a 1500-2000lb CTL (compact track loader) tried giving me a machine with tires, continued to give me a different machine but to my surprise when they went to load it on the trailer the track was locked up and wouldn’t move. They then had picked out another piece of equipment that was larger than the one I had originally paid for which wasn’t that much of a problem till it came time for them to put a bucket on it, they spent the next 20 minutes struggling to get the bucket on which further delayed me. I was supposed to be at a site for 8:30am but didn’t leave the Sunbelt till 8:40 even though I had a river at 7:40. Tried to talk to their employees about when I was allowed to return the piece of equipment and they continued to tell me that I was not allowed to drop it off after hours( would have been able to drop off the equipment if it wasn’t for arriving to the site 45 minutes late). I was told by an employee that they would call me back at some point in the day and have it worked out so that the piece of equipment would be returned. I had never received a call from them or any sort of contact. To my surprise when I called them there was no hospitality towards the situation and further told me that the only way the equipment would be picked up was for a $150 fee and if not they would continue to charge me $300 a day fee until I returned the equipment. In conclusion I would not return and will not be recommending their services even if there is no other option.

What do I need to rent a tool?
All you need is your driver’s license or a government-issued photo ID and a credit or debit card to pay for the rental upfront. No extra deposit is required.

Is a deposit required for a reservation?
For customers without a line of credit, Sunbelt Rentals does not require a deposit to rent tools and equipment. However, you will be asked for payment information when you make your reservation. Your credit or debit card will not be charged for the rental period (one ((1)) day minimum) until you pick up the equipment.
For Credit Customers, we will secure a deposit for your reservation. This deposit will be held within your account until the rental equipment is returned and the contract closed. Apply for a credit account here.
If your project is quick and you only need the equipment for a few hours, Sunbelt Rentals does offer a Rapid Return rate. Return the equipment within four (4) hours of the pickup time and we will refund the difference of the Rapid Return rate. Rates will vary based on product. What if I need to keep my equipment longer?
If you need assistance, please contact the branch of the equipment rental and they can extend the rental for you. When you keep the equipment longer, we will add the additional time and charges to your contract and credit card. Please refer to the rental contract, where the day, week and 4-week rates are shown for each piece of tool and equipment.
Can I return rented equipment at any location?
Typically, equipment should be returned to the same location where you initially rented it. If you need to return it to a different location, please contact the store where you rented the equipment for guidance. It’s advisable to call ahead so we can assist you in finding a convenient alternative location for your return. Your convenience is our priority.
What is the cost for the delivery of equipment to my location?
The delivery charge is calculated based on the category and class of equipment, the location of the rental location, the distance of the project site from the rental location.
Can I get tools and equipment delivered to me?
Yes, Sunbelt Rentals offers convenient delivery options from our extensive network of locations for a reasonable fee. When making a reservation, simply select the delivery option. During the reservation process, you can specify the delivery drop-off date and time, as well as your estimated equipment pickup date. The estimate is for our planning purposes and not a final date.
To initiate our equipment pickup service, you must confirm the end of your rental via the app or by phone. Additionally, if you have specific delivery instructions or prefer a designated contact person for coordination, please include those details when submitting your reservation.
For businesses utilizing a commercial credit account, associated delivery and pickup fees will be reflected in your invoice.
To receive notifications about your delivery, adjust your settings in your account to receive reminders and updates related to your delivery and pickup.
What happens if a tool breaks or quits working while I am renting it?
Sunbelt Rentals inspects and services each piece of equipment prior to each rental and should be in good working order. If you experience problems with the tool while renting it, please go to the specific Equipment Detail page within the reservation to request service. If you need additional assistance, please contact the branch of the equipment rental and they can arrange for next steps or a replacement. If you want to have protection in the event of damage, Sunbelt Rentals offers a Rental Protection Plan (RPP), which can be purchased at the start of your rental.
What do I need to rent a tool from Sunbelt Rentals?
