Last Friday a different window company had come to my home and had done a lovely demonstration of their windows and then proceeded to push and push for me to make a decision. They kept sweetening the deal, reminding me that if they had to return it would cost more, adding on a little extra. Pushing and pushing. I signed. Then it started to nag at me. I thought I might have made a bad decision. I had other contractors lined up to get estimates, but I had signed. So Monday morning I went straight to Window World. They listened to my story. They made some suggestions. They said the were sure they could do better. No pressure, just the facts. They showed me their windows and we set up an appointment. I went home and canceled the contract from the high pressure company. When all was said and done, Window World replaced 8 windows for thousands less than the other company was going to install 7 windows for. But not just 8 windows, all 8 are top of the line double hung Energy Star rated windows. My house was built in 1820. I don't know if the windows I had were original but they were very bad. The installers were right on time. Great guys to have working on my home. Respectful, experienced They put a drop cloth down at every window. I loved watching them work. I learned from them. They were efficient. Fast, but not hurried. They cleaned up inside and out. When the were finishing up I found one window that didn't work quite right. The guys put in a work request for Window World to send some one out to fix it. (They looked at it and it was not related to the installation). Window World called and made an appointment, sent a guy out and he found the error in the window guide, replaced it and all was well. I highly recommend Window World of Binghamton (Johnson City).
