Contacted Gold Star Plumming heating and Cooling for a quote, their Secialist came and gave me a price which I agreed on. It was quite reasonable. Their Specialist came on the date and time agreed on. They were very professional, courteous and friendly, a pleasure to work with. They did a great job. They are my go to Plummers and they are highly recommended.
- SOSteven OchsSep 29, 20251.0Outrageously overpriced basically they look for a quick $179 service call and they don't expect to do the work. Tech came out to my house, the issue was the flute was not opening as it should. Tech gave me two choices do a tune-up for $600 which was not the problem. Or a tune-up and change the switch that was not working properly for $1,800. Basically he said he couldn't fix the switch without charging me the additional $600 for vacuuming out my gas boiler. The tech didn't even diagnose the problem as I showed on the problem as soon as you walked in. They also didn't have the part and would have to order it. Turns out the part costed $120 and I put it in myself. So basically I paid $179 to prove that even though I know nothing about boilers I was able to diagnose and fix it myself.
