When searching for a plumber, the first test is whether they show up or not. Universe failed that test. Appt, made for 9 - 11 AM. No show at 12, They never called me. I called them several times and was told they were busy elsewhere. I waited until 1 PM and left. I had to travel to be at the location so, all together I wasted 5 hours of my time. Choose your plumber wisely. I won't be using be Universe Plumbing.

i have been a customer for many many years, Just renewed my contract only to be completely DISAPPOINTED AND YUP, FEEL RIPPED OFF . A regular maintenance appointment and they mention i will need a new boiler soon. Conveniently, i come home few days later to no heat only to be told the service call just to walk in is $200, well $199 to be accurate. I cancelled the service call and got another company to come in and guess what. They feel the unit was "messed" with. My heat is back on and running and working fine. Such a disappointment.
I had a very positive experience with Lawrence Engelbert. He serviced my oil furnace and was professional, knowledgeable, and thorough. He clearly explained what was going on, answered all of my questions, and made sure everything was running safely before he left. What really stood out was that he checked in with me afterward to make sure the system was still working properly. That level of follow-up and care is rare. I highly recommend him for anyone needing oil heat or furnace service.
Just prior to the snowstorm, my boiler broke down. It was excellent that Universe Home Service was able to set up an appointment for today when I called them last night. When Larry arrived, he was very professional and informed. He explained everything that was wrong and fixed the issue quickly, getting our boiler back up and running in time for the blizzard. For our future services, we will undoubtedly choose Universe Home Service and i will definitely be requesting for Larry.

Karl was amazing. He did such a thorough job repairing what needed to be fixed (it was a leaking water valve) , diagnosing the problem, and teaching me what I needed to know. He is a kind person. He cleaned up the area he worked in. The next day we worked with Jamie who sold us a new boiler. He was SO PATIENT and answered all of our questions. He was extremely knowledgeable and spent so much time educating us and helping us understand boilers: what went wrong with the old one and what we can expect in a new one. I really appreciate the time he spent with us.
Then I had a new boiler installed by Tommy the next day. Tommy and his crew were amazing!!! They installed a beautiful new unit and everything is labeled and so neat and clean. They were so clean wearing booties in my house and they were sweet to work with. Tommy took his time explaining to me everything I needed to know about my new boiler and answered all of my questions.
I would without-a-doubt use this company again!!!!
