I had quite a time with Cabinets to Go. In short, it was one of the worst retail experiences of my life. If price is your only consideration in a new kitchen, they may be ok. But if you want a company that pays attention to details and does quality work, keep looking. I had one screw up after another getting my kitchen installed, I will break down the events. It got to be a real clown show. Went to the showroom to look at their products. Sales guy was friendly and affable. Eventually I brought my wife and we selected styles and colors for cabinets and hardware. My first hint that this company was not great was when the contractor came for the $100 “measuring session.” It was the end of the day and these guys obviously wanted to go home. They took two measurements and left. I thought that it seemed very superficial, especially for a $100 fee. Later this would come back to bite us. I was assured that things would be coordinated with the contractor and when our cabinets arrived they would immediately install them. Based on this, I completely demoed my kitchen as requested, right down to the sink. We were washing dishes in the bathroom and making meals in the living room. I heard the stuff arrived, and finally was contacted by the contractor, who told me he could do it in a month. To his credit, when I got a little upset about this, he came in on the following Saturday and did the install. The cabinets came to my house, and there were two long boxes. I thought they were the counter tops. They were not. They were vertical pieces to box in the refrigerator. THEY FORGOT TO ORDER THE COUNTERTOPS! I didn’t even understand what these vertical pieces were for, but they cost $400. It turned out that they would not fit anyway because of the lax measurement. One would have gone over the light switch by the door. This was a good thing because if any actual care were taken in the kitchen design, they would have realized these things would have created about a two foot entrance opening to the kitchen. I was happy it worked out this way. So the install went on. We discovered that they also sent the wrong handles for the drawers and cabinets. Not only the wrong style, but wrong counts for each. They seem to have mixed it up with another order. So they got the cabinets installed but no counter tops and no handles on doors and drawers, the kitchen was still unusable. We went to the store where we were told it would be a week and half until the counters would come. In the meantime we had no sink or dishwasher. We made sure they ordered the right hardware and got credit for the vertical pieces they could not use. The contractor was able to take a piece of plywood I had and make a temporary sink (plywood cost me $30 which CTB refuses to reimburse). This meant I had to do the sink plumbing twice, then and again when the counters came. Its a good thing I could do this myself or we would have had to hire a plumber twice. When they showed up 11 days later to install the countertops, the contractor had the flu and he obviously didn’t want to be there. They did a terrible job, the cuts on the edges of the linoleum were chipped and not clean at all. The end caps were barely glued on and are now coming off. One thing I discovered reviewing the bill, is that we got credit for returning the vertical pieces but were still being charged for installing them. The total for that labor was $600. I did point this out and got the credit put back on my card. It’s hard to tell if this was deliberate overcharge or just incompetence, I'll give them the benefit of the doubt and say incompetence. All in all, I really regret using this company. It seems like once the sale was made there was zero effort made by the company to assure a smooth installation.

Worked with Jie and she designed our dream kitchen and explain everything very thoroughly and why we needed certain things! 10/10 would come back!
