What started as a straightforward upgrade turned into a long lesson in frustration. The sales pitch promised premium materials, expert installation, and long-term value. What we received was rushed work, mismatched components, and ongoing problems that began almost immediately after installation. Several windows never sealed correctly, leading to constant drafts and noticeable noise from outside. We reached out for support and were met with delays, missed appointments, and technicians who seemed more interested in closing tickets than actually diagnosing issues. Each visit resulted in a different explanation, none of which solved the problem. The pricing was especially disappointing. For what we paid, the quality should have been top-tier, but instead it feels like budget-grade products dressed up with expensive marketing. When we pushed back, we were told fixes would cost extra despite assurances made during the sale. Overall, the experience felt dismissive and unprofessional. Once payment was complete, accountability disappeared. I would strongly recommend researching other options before committing.

Working with Tim August was a pleasure. He thoroughly explained the Comfort windows policy and product. We're pleased with the fair pricing and timeline for the project.

I had Comfort Windows & Doors install two replacement basement windows and a sliding patio door earlier this month, and unfortunately the experience fell well short of expectations. The installation crew left behind cement splatter on my landscaping stones and did not clean up debris that fell into my basement during the work. I had to handle the cleanup myself. What bothered me most was the lack of follow-up. I reported the issues within days, but it took over a month and multiple emails before I received a response. Even then, the concerns were brushed off rather than addressed. The installation also didn’t meet local building requirements or the specifications outlined in my contract, especially around the window well sealing and exterior concrete finish. Because of this, I had to hire another contractor to correct the work, which cost me an additional $850 out of pocket just to make everything watertight and properly graded. Communication was consistently poor—calls went unanswered, and when I finally spoke to someone, I was made to feel like my concerns weren’t worth their time. At one point, I was even told that posting a review wouldn’t matter to them because they’re “busy enough.” The products themselves seem fine, but customer service and accountability are a big part of the overall experience, and that’s where Comfort Windows & Doors really missed the mark for me.

Last year they did the windows and those were great products put in professionally at a good price, I like that they make them themselves and guarantee their work, and their own crew does the installation. Then we needed our bathrooms remodeled and we chose Comfort for their quality and price. We got a good discount because we were repeat customers. Tommy from sales was awesome and on the ball with answers, and our project concluded very well, we were so impressed with the quality and speed and craftsmanship of the bathroom updates. They did 2 in a week (shared bath and a powder room)! The crew was incredible, smart and skillful and polite and personable, I had a very good feeling we picked the right company to do these based on our window project earlier. The office crew was responsive and helpful and overall we had a great experience with this company! We picked fixtures from Curtis and Comfort installed them, redid the floor, bath/shower system. We’re really happy. You can see the before and after pics.

I invited comfort windows, and doors into my home to replace doors and windows. My neighbor had work by them and raved about their treatment and respect to him in his household. My experience was the opposite upon arrival to my house the salesman trash, talked my home , then began giving me a long pitch which included badmouthing competitors like Anderson, windows, window, world, and Home Depot. Many of the facts the salesman provided have turned out to be false, which left me with the feeling he really did not have any knowledge or skill to what he was selling. It’s almost like he had a grudge against others for being let go for his lack of talent was my perception. The advertise financing special, which caught my eye on the television initiated. This potential upgrade was all smoking mirrors. The financing rates I was offered were exceptionally high. The first price I was given was a cash price when I asked about the financing. All the numbers became incredibly inflated and not just that three cents. You see at the gas pump. The following day I received a message from the sales person telling me he’ll offer me the cash price and a financing rate that was 7% higher than what was advertised on the television and confirmed by the appointment center. Two weeks later I receive another text from the salesman. One rejected and given him the reasons as mentioned above that I had no reason to believe any of his knowledge was true, and it lost faith in him. I began to receive less than professional texts. They were black eye to comfort windows and doors as much as I was curious to call the company asked for Fritz and say did you send me a bad sales person the return messages to me have killed that maybe you’ll have better luck but if they tell you, a guy named Craig is coming to do your estimate. I would highly suggest you ask for a more qualified Customer friendly person who can serve you in the best way for the time you were going to invest with them to give you a sales quote. To save you some time and effort the first person you deal with from them is nothing but a pre-qualifying sales person very small that a knowledge the time you have set aside to meet with them to get a quote for your home you will learn very quickly they need to send the second person out to actually measure the openings properly. Time is money time is valuable comfort windows and doors and Craig do not care any bit about your time your value. The only thing they care about is your dollar.
