Great service, fair price, and quality work. This was a simple gas lead cap, but we'll be calling them for our HVAC and future plumbing needs.

10/28/2025 UPDATE PLEASE SEE UPDATE TO THE OWNER/FOUNDER SALVATORE BARBAGALLO: Owner's Pledge Not Honored: Lack of Follow-Up I am updating this review to reflect my attempts to resolve the issue with the undersized unit. Two weeks ago, the owner publicly responded to my original review stating, "we would love the opportunity to review the options we do have at our disposal..." I did look up to see who the owner/founder is so that I can address this to him Salvatore Barbagallo. In hopes that he will reach out to me and resolve the undersized unit that was documented Per their invoice 110024185. Since that promise, I have made multiple, unreturned calls to Nick and left multiple messages with the front desk, specifically referencing the owner’s commitment. I was told by the front desk she printed out the review to put in Nicks desk. Despite the owner’s public assurance that SPS/CarrFord would take action, the company has failed to initiate contact. I am still seeking the promised resolution to correct the too-small unit. I hope the owner will honor his public word and finally have someone contact me. I would have given NO stars. I am extremely disappointed with the service and the products provided by CarrFord/SPS Mechanical. Carrford retired and merged the business with SPS Mechanical. We hired them to install a new HVAC system in January of 2023, and after installation, it became clear the unit was too small for our home. We expressed that the system was too small but we were told that it would be more efficient. It was even smaller than what was already in our home. So, we went from a Lenox Pulse 3.5 ton to a 3-ton Rheem. The company's own technicians have since confirmed this issue. Per this invoice 110024185 “Summary: Airflow is currently maxed out, 6 supply runs are partially/full closed to attain higher static. 2.5 return registers are taped off to add static to return. The system is under sized for the house. Customer also had good insulation in attic. Only returns run through attic.” So, instead of taking responsibility, they offered to replace the unit at an additional cost, with no offer to absorb the mistake they admitted to making. The unit that they were offering to replace it was lesser of a model than the one we already have installed but would be a 4-ton unit for $6000. To add insult to injury, they stated they would take the undersized unit back to resell it to another customer. This is both unprofessional and unethical. We have tried to reach out to them multiple times with excuses why Nick can’t come to the phone. They gave us several estimates in the range of an additional $18,000-$27,000. So, needless to say I am stuck with a too of a little small system for my home. Their refusal to stand behind their work and correct their error without charging me a significant amount of money is unacceptable. It shows a complete lack of integrity and customer care. I cannot recommend this company to anyone. Be cautious if you choose to use their services, especially for a major installation like this. In response to owners reply: To CarrFord/SPS Mechanical Owner: I appreciate your public apology, but it avoids the core issue: the unit was improperly sized from the start. The "limitation" you refer to is not the age of the unit, but your company's installation error, which your own invoice (110024185) confirms with the statement, "The system is under sized for the house." Your offer to "review options" after confirming your mistake only amounted to asking me to pay another $6,000 to $27,000 to fix your error." However, I must clarify: I am not asking for a free upgrade; I am asking for the correction of a documented installation mistake. Also, with a unit that is comparable to the one I have but in a 4-ton model. I am ready to move forward. If you are truly committed to resolving this issue and if you "take all customer feedback to heart,", you have my contact information. Please, contact me directly and privately and let’s work something out. Or tell me a time to call and who to ask for.
