I have Goodman HVAC system. This was low on Freon. Called Harris plumbing. Didn’t arrive on time checked Freon. Unit was one pound low on Freon. Unit was icing. Asked me to go to the attic where blower is located. Said he had to check air flow. Spent about half an hour. Then I went in to the attic to see why it’s taking him so long. When he saw me coming up start putting the cover back on. Asked me who installed the system, replied I did. Didn’t put all the screws back on! Now he tells me have to download the app. To adjust the fan speed. I told him that I am capable of downloading app. And adjusting it. Can you just add 1 Pound of Freon, that you started it needs. No I can’t just add Freon to it. I have to do leak test first. Estimate Refrigerant $650.00+labor $402. Cost $1,052.00. Second estimate repair drain $402.00+Refrigerant $650.00+Leak detection $609.00+ HVAC repair $402.00+Insulate pipe$267.00 = to 2,330.00. I am a Mechanical Engineer with BSME degree. Did design of HVAC systems for commercial buildings. I knew he was trying to put wool over my eyes. Company sent me copy of estimates and bills. When I received the papers by text, he had initialed my signatures for the companies paperwork. Harris kept calling me and sending me emails to schedule work. I emailed them that I like to talk to the owner. Replied sent the message to responsible people, would here back from them. Work was done on April 18th, 2026. To this date no response. Most people who have no clue about HVAC, guess they are talking them to cleaners. May lord Bless them. Please look out for these dishonest people.

So Harris’ service started out fantastic, came out within one day of calling and met with Isaiah Miranda. Isaiah was great, very knowledgeable, extremely friendly, spoke through everything in an easy to understand manner. We needed an entire electrical panel replacement, a generator installation and two ceiling fans to be wired and installed. Scheduled for 8am that Monday (met with Isaiah on Saturday). Then Monday comes around, electrical team is 2 hours late, and the communication was beyond lacking, it was close to non existent. Scheduled again for Tuesday 8am, team shows up shortly after 8am and then explains they have to leave as they were not prepared for them to only return another 2.5 hours later (wound up working at residence until 730PM). Was advised that generator and ceiling fans would all be done this day, however the ceiling fans were never completed. Yet again another day of absolutely no communication until asking over and over what the issue is. Requested to speak with the electrical supervisor who we were advised was named “Geno”, and shocker we never got a phone call. Needles to say for the amount of money we are spending, this services was EXTREMELY subpar.
From start of this process to the installation and completion of the project, Harris has been nothing but Outstanding. Our Electrician, Sam was a very knowledgeable professional, extremely courteous, polite and a pleasure to work with. Sam is a very talented professional electrician who pays attention to detail to his work from surveying the project, putting together the best possible price for the customer and then completing the installation. Sam cleaned up the locations where he worked after completing each location. Today, Sam had four (4) rooms to install fans. Sam checks each fan to make sure all functions are working correctly and the fan is properly installed making sure the fan is operating without a shake and making noise. Each fan is operating in a very silent mode. I can’t say enough about Sam. Harris and Sam will definitely be my first call for any electric job I have in the future.

Our initial first experience with Harris was a five star, even purchased the service package. Over three weeks ago I scheduled an ac tuneup for a weekday because the weekends were booked out until mid June. Used my PTO to be home for this tuneup, received a confirmation text yesterday, 4/16, which I returned with a “C”, only to receive a voicemail and text message, both from Amirah, this morning, 4/17, saying they had to reschedule (for another weekday meaning I would have to use yet another precious day of my PTO) because of a high volume of calls for ac’s that were not working. Both asking me to respond and call back to reschedule. Called three times, no one answered at dispatch extension, and had to leave voicemails with the dispatch and NEVER received a return call after I had requested that in the voicemails. No one ever showed up, at least not yet, and it’s 5:30, highly doubtful they will.
What’s the use of a service contract when they don’t hold up their end of the deal??? Very poor customer service….guess they got their money for the contract, but screw the customer.
<<UPDATE MONDAY,4/20>>
Received two texts(no phone call) from Harris saying they were sorry that I had to cancel my appointment!!! THEY cancelled my appointment!!
Did call immediately and dispatch actually answered and I had a conversation with Jess. Needless to say I was now extremely upset because of the fact they were saying I canceled the appointment. (Photos I have attached prove mine and theirs confirmation of the original appointment, THEIR cancellation text message and THEIR text message saying I cancelled).
In the end Jess did get my new scheduled appointment for a Saturday morning about three weeks out, but still couldn’t guarantee that it wouldn’t be cancelled if they received calls of non-working units. Really???????I have already paid for this maintenance appointment through my “Happy Home Club”, which says “Front Of The Line Priority Scheduling” for both routine maintenance and service calls. Oh, and if I wanted to talk with a manager it would be 24-48 hours before I would get a response. I see how they operate now, looking to get repair money over a service that’s already paid.

Disappointed with these people. They arrived early Monday morning before 8 to install a new air conditioner. Around 8:15-8:30 I saw them backing up in my driveway. My 2 cars were parked parallel. I was standing at the window looking at them. They started backing up and then suddenly pulled up again and adjusting. The passenger even got out of the truck and inspected my car, touching the side as if to see if something was damaged. He even saw me that I was looking at the window while I was holding my baby. The guys knocked on the door but didn’t even say something if they hit my car. I let the guys do their work. I couldn’t get out as I was taking care of my baby so I told my husband when he woke up to check on the car. They finished until 12:40, almost 1 pm. These guys Don and the other one who didn’t introduce himself still didn’t say a word. They said they will turn off the hot water so they can work on something and turn it back on when done. Guess what?! They even forgot to turn it on. We didn’t realize until late at night when my husband took a shower that was cold!. Thank God I bathed my baby early. After that, my husband used the car and realized that the driver side mirror was damaged. The signal light was broken. I’m very disappointed. You even deactivated the page that serves Gloucester township area. We called customer service and apologetic about it and I appreciate it. We called again in the morning and finally another guy came to turn on my hot water. We were told that the side mirror incident will be discussed with their boss so give them 24-48 hours to call back. Guess what again?! No call at all for a week!! Jeez. We couldn’t use the damaged car until now!
So I just want to ask, is this how you work? Do you even take pride in your work? No honesty? We could have appreciated it if you had said something and apologized for it but I guess it’s not in your vocabulary.
Very disappointed and frustrated. I just hope the new air conditioner you installed will work!
I hope you reorient your employees regarding honesty at work! Godbless you and I hope this won’t happen to others!
