- SWscott walshJun 29, 20252.0The large rental equipment is usually ok.... If you're renting a smaller equipment such as a chain saw or maybe a saw cutter or a jackhammer you can expect problems. It will show up either already broken or not Working properly. I rented a drain snake a few months ago. The cable was bent and it wasn't even the one they had advertised. The electric concrete saw cutter I rented last summer, kept cutting off and shorting out.... I needed a bobcat and stump grinder for a major project in my yard yesterday. As I said, I ordered a stump grinder, it showed up. It was not working properly. The guy was going to leave it and tell me jiggle the handle, because it kept bogging down, and I said no to return it and bring a different machine. Rented the bobcat, also, and it worked as it should without issue. The problem is, after asking them to pick the machine up and requesting them two or three times and repeating it to not drive the machine on my driveway or my driveway apron, they totally drove the machine on my driveway and my driveway apron. After I cleaned it yesterday. Now it is muddy and has black rubber trak marks again. I'm so done with you guys now. Sunbelt, rentals has better equipment for similar pricing.
