Very professional, explained every detail and showed me pics of the repair he made. He made good recommendations for my thermostat to help it function better for the needs of my home. He additionally was able to help me verify the correct filters for me to buy to have on hand for next service.

Tech came for routine furnace maintenance. The tech was on time and spoke professionally and curriously. Wore boot covers to prevent tracking on dirt. Completed the job quickly but seemed to be on the phone with a colleague or someone else chatting about his next job for a good portion of the second half of the job. He inadvertently left the humidifier drainage tube either disconnected or improperly connected causing flooding around the heater, this tripped the flood sensor and shut off the system. I called to get service and I was told that the office was closed and I would have to wait until tomorrow. It’s 31 degrees today and I was concerned about the overnight temps. I later received a call from a tech telling me he could come but he was going to charge $117 plus an hourly fee. I think I would have been better off if I hadn’t gotten the service done.

We chose Bovio Rubino based on their many positive Google reviews and a sales representative who initially gave us confidence. We replaced the heating and cooling systems for our two-zone home, and unfortunately, the experience since installation has been extremely frustrating. The installation felt rushed and was not completed properly. The very first night, the upstairs air conditioning for our bedrooms did not work at all because it had not been hooked up correctly. A technician had to return the next morning to fix the issue. The install team also left our home in poor condition—our stair runner was stained, paint was damaged, and drywall was pulled down around vents. While Bovio did reimburse us for the damage, resolving it was a significant headache. When we turned on the heating systems, neither the upstairs nor downstairs units worked correctly, even after a technician came out to “fix” them. At the beginning of December, our home was 63 degrees because the heating systems were not installed properly. Both were not kicking into stage 2, meaning no real heat was coming out and the fan was constantly running, leading us to have high electric bills. We spoke with the service manager, who redirected responsibility to the install manager, who offered little acknowledgment or apology. The final straw came recently when another HVAC team was in our attic installing a bathroom fan and discovered a disconnected supply vent (photo attached). This meant one of our upstairs bedrooms was not receiving heat at all. We were even told that Bovio has since revamped their installation team due to past incompetence. This entire experience highlights a serious lack of quality control. We feel we’ve wasted time and money and have been left with ongoing frustration and disappointment. There should absolutely be a quality control manager performing post-installation inspections. Even now, we are still not confident that everything in our system is properly installed.

I had some water at the base of my gas furnace. After ensuring that I had heat, a tech was scheduled for the following day. I have a gold maintenance plan, and was told the visit fee would be discounted to $57 and the remainder of the fee would be determined by what was done. No hourly rate was specified. The water puddle dried up before the tech arrived. The tech was very thorough, based on what he described to me had been done, but found no issue. He gave me some guidance on what to do before calling if water appeared again. The tech was here less than 45 minutes; the total bill was $251, so I was charged $194 for less than 45 minutes. That comes to about $260/hour! I was astonished, but paid it. I'm certainly rethinking renewing that maintenance plan I have and will be researching other companies before it expires!
