  WARNING - before you sign a contract - THINK TWICE or 10 times. The price in the contract will be a small fraction of what you will end up paying with this company. They will be inflating prices for every tiny little thing. They will make mistakes, sometimes even in the contract and unless you agree with them, they will hold up work; they will gaslight you and tell you they never promised things. Initially, Emil puts on the charm - but don't be fooled. There's one purpose to that and one purpose only - to rip you off as much as possible. Make sure everything is written down, all the extras. Make sure you have the payment schedule PRECISELY. they use tactics like 'at delivery of material" so you pay at delivery and then material will lay there for a long while until anything is done. There are plenty of reputable builders. We used a few at different locations and the experience was vastly different. Be careful and don't fall prey to this. I so wish I read the reviews before signing with them. Also, if you are reading this, and you had a problem but worried about the financial burden of hiring an attorney, you can file a claim with Consumer Affairs against any issues you might have had. Emil I do not wish to further continue this online, however, you are once again changing everything around to suit your story. you tried charging us and actually got angry because we didn't want to move the HVAC unit 3 inches for hundreds of dollars. What about trying to charge us for removing the wallpaper off the wrong wall - a mistake by one of your guys and you said "someone has to pay for this?" You bring up the ones that we actually accepted. Did you mention what you were charging us for any additional outsets? Any reputable business person would contact their clients - after seeing a negative reviews would try to contact their client to rectify, actually most reputable business people would want to rectify even before that happened. Please take all the positive reviews with a grain of salt - a large grain. Most of them say nothing specific and do not provide any actual information. There are plenty buying review sites around. So be cautious. I found the negative reviews on here after we already signed and he convinced me that none of it was true, well everything others have said below is absolutely true. Emil is arrogant, condescending and has one goal - to suck as much money out of you as possible. There are no ethics involved here nor honesty. Please feel free to contact me for a personal account of everything including if you'd like to see our back and forth transactions, emails and contract. I am an open book and unlike some others on here, I would be willing to show you exactly why hiring this company would be the biggest mistake you can make.

  Your house is the biggest investment you make. So when it comes time to do any major work, you need to ensure you are choosing the right company for the job. Mandalay Group is the that company. From the first minute we met Emil he put us at ease, answered every question-multiple times- and was available and quick to reply to calls and text messages. Our project (house raising) was finished on time and on budget. We could not be happier with the finished project. If you are thinking about using Mandalay Group, stop thinking and just do it. You will be glad you did.

  Mandalay Construction was a true life saver for us. Emil is extremely knowledgeable, professional and kept in constant contact. We needed electric work and sheet rock repair and install completed ASAP and they got it done... quickly, expertly,and neatly. The workers showed up on time, cleaned after all work and were very pleasant. Thank you

  DO NOT USE. TRUST THE BAD REVIEWS YOU SEE from so many people. He had a company called Xtreme Builders and Makeovers which he had to shut down and start this new one because he did not end on good terms with so may people. Takes your money and then doesn't show up or finish the job. Horrible experience for me and so many others I know who've used him.
