I absolutely do not recommend this company First we were ghosted completely on a cold night when it was 9 degrees. No call back. I call the next day they have no one available. I had no choice but to use a different company- my family needs heat.. this is an emergency!! It stops working again we call Shamrock again. Someone is on their way. He calls back saying he can’t come because another company was there earlier. So he willingly leaves us hanging with no heat on another bitterly cold evening.

I just had a seasonal checkup on the heaters in my 2 homes. The technician Niam was very knowledgeable and even gave me some tips. He was very personable and I look forward to him coming back and doing the same for my AC’s. Highly recommend!!

I do not know what is going on with this place but we will not be using them anymore. There’s no one available and they ghost you
I want to add also that it speaks volumes that no one has reached out to me personally, or commented on any reviews to try and rectify any situation or keep a long standing customer happy It wouldn’t matter now as we have moved on to a different company, however, it does speak volumes about the company…

Our heating system would automatically start up but within a few minutes would fail. Repeated efforts to start the System where to no avail. It was mid November, unusually cold for the Autumn season. Shamrock dispatched a repair technician to determine the cause of the failure. The reason for the failure was identified and corrective action taken. The entire transaction was handled in a professional manner and in an expedited fashion. Our discomfort was minimized by Shamrock's commendable efforts.
Frequently Asked Questions About Shamrock Heating and Air Conditioning Inc
How often do I need to change my air filter?
As a general guideline, we recommend changing your air filter monthly. However, the frequency may vary depending on your location and the presence of contaminants such as dirt or pet dander. It's advisable to inspect your filter regularly and replace it when it appears dirty.
If I replace my outdoor unit, do I also need to replace my indoor unit?
In most instances, replacing both units simultaneously is advisable. Air conditioner and heat pump outdoor units are designed to work with matching indoor units. Using mismatched units can reduce efficiency and performance. Additionally, if both units were installed at the same time, the indoor unit is likely nearing the end of its lifespan as well. Replacing both units ensures a complete system warranty, potentially saving you from bearing the full cost of repairs during the warranty period.
Should I cover my unit in the fall and winter?
Covering your unit can help prevent debris accumulation, but it's important to note that operating the unit with the cover on can cause issues. If you plan to be away for an extended period and won't be using the unit, you may cover it. However, always remember to disconnect the power source before doing so.
How often should I have my unit serviced?
To ensure proper operation, we recommend having your heating and cooling units inspected and serviced annually by a professional HVAC technician. During these service visits, technicians will inspect your system, lubricate components, and address any malfunctioning parts through repair or replacement.
How do I find out if my unit is under warranty?
To determine if your unit is under warranty, locate the manufacture date on the label of your equipment's outer surface. If the unit is less than five years old, it's likely still covered by a warranty. For more specific details about your warranty coverage, we suggest contacting the manufacturer directly.
What can I do to lower my energy bills?
There are several steps you can take to reduce your energy bills: install a programmable thermostat to optimize heating and cooling when you're away; switch to energy-efficient lighting such as CFLs or LEDs; use ceiling fans instead of air conditioning when possible; unplug unused appliances to prevent standby power consumption; and ensure proper sealing of windows and doors to minimize air leaks and reduce strain on your HVAC system.
What's a good rule of thumb for changing the thermostat?
When adjusting your thermostat, consider the following: utilize programmable thermostats to set temperatures based on your daily schedule; adjust settings according to your comfort preferences and lifestyle; take into account outdoor temperature and humidity levels; and ensure your home is well-insulated to maintain consistent temperatures and improve energy efficiency.
