No idea how their rating is this high on google. Before you use them check Yelp. Shamrock will never get another dime out of me. Shamrock did my new construction development. More than one home in this development is having issues with CFM's. Long story short you have to have air getting sucked out as you blow it in. We have too much air getting blown in and not enough getting sucked out. So we don't have enough returns and home isn't heated or cooled properly. Shamrock knew this because CFM's are a simple math problem. They cut corners so badly and tried to do it all cheap as possible. They came back SO many times to "balance" the system. When all the while they knew it wasn't going to work. We could've balanced it 1 million times and it still would not have worked. Because the math was off. BUYER BEWARE!
And yes there are a couple good reviews. But do you want to take that risk on your home? I wouldn't. Not on Shamrock. Never again,

I have used Shamrock for 30 years and they’re only getting better and better each year. They serviced my heater as well as my air conditioner units. The service technicians are great. I love having the contract and not worrying about anything coming down the road. I highly recommend Shamrock

The worst experience i have the worst customer service. A technician came out said it was heating when it wasn’t. I called back. They said he will come out passed the weekend. Which we spent without heat. We were scheduled 1-5 he never showed up. I reached out to him at 5:44 pm. He said in order to come past hours he will have to charge me double. Asking me for money when coming to fix it was part of his run. I reached out to him on Wednesday because was on a trip man named paul was helpful he scheduled to me at the top of 1-5 on Thursday. I call a 2 no one showed up. It turns out i was never scheduled. Of course i am furious. I hung up paul calls me back within the hour we were able to schedule for 4-6 on friday. I was on a trip i called from outside the country to make sure they will be there. Paul asked me to hold on. He spoke to chris and came back and said that the technician was held at his first job. That he will not make it today. Incompetent people and company.
Frequently Asked Questions About Shamrock Heating and Air Conditioning Inc
How often do I need to change my air filter?
As a general guideline, we recommend changing your air filter monthly. However, the frequency may vary depending on your location and the presence of contaminants such as dirt or pet dander. It's advisable to inspect your filter regularly and replace it when it appears dirty.
If I replace my outdoor unit, do I also need to replace my indoor unit?
In most instances, replacing both units simultaneously is advisable. Air conditioner and heat pump outdoor units are designed to work with matching indoor units. Using mismatched units can reduce efficiency and performance. Additionally, if both units were installed at the same time, the indoor unit is likely nearing the end of its lifespan as well. Replacing both units ensures a complete system warranty, potentially saving you from bearing the full cost of repairs during the warranty period.
Should I cover my unit in the fall and winter?
Covering your unit can help prevent debris accumulation, but it's important to note that operating the unit with the cover on can cause issues. If you plan to be away for an extended period and won't be using the unit, you may cover it. However, always remember to disconnect the power source before doing so.
How often should I have my unit serviced?
To ensure proper operation, we recommend having your heating and cooling units inspected and serviced annually by a professional HVAC technician. During these service visits, technicians will inspect your system, lubricate components, and address any malfunctioning parts through repair or replacement.
How do I find out if my unit is under warranty?
To determine if your unit is under warranty, locate the manufacture date on the label of your equipment's outer surface. If the unit is less than five years old, it's likely still covered by a warranty. For more specific details about your warranty coverage, we suggest contacting the manufacturer directly.
What can I do to lower my energy bills?
There are several steps you can take to reduce your energy bills: install a programmable thermostat to optimize heating and cooling when you're away; switch to energy-efficient lighting such as CFLs or LEDs; use ceiling fans instead of air conditioning when possible; unplug unused appliances to prevent standby power consumption; and ensure proper sealing of windows and doors to minimize air leaks and reduce strain on your HVAC system.
What's a good rule of thumb for changing the thermostat?
When adjusting your thermostat, consider the following: utilize programmable thermostats to set temperatures based on your daily schedule; adjust settings according to your comfort preferences and lifestyle; take into account outdoor temperature and humidity levels; and ensure your home is well-insulated to maintain consistent temperatures and improve energy efficiency.
How often should I change the air filter in my HVAC system?
A good rule of thumb is to change your air filter once a month. Depending on your environment and the presence of dirt or pet dander, you may need to change it more or less often. Check your filter regularly and replace it when it looks dirty.
If I replace my outdoor air conditioning unit, do I also need to replace the indoor unit?
Yes, it's generally recommended to replace both units simultaneously. Matched indoor and outdoor units ensure optimal efficiency and performance, and replacing both can also provide comprehensive warranty coverage.
Should I cover my HVAC unit during fall and winter?
Covering your HVAC unit can prevent debris accumulation, but do not operate the unit with the cover on. If turning the unit off for a long period, you may cover it but be sure to disconnect the power source.
How often should I have my heating and cooling units serviced?
Annual inspections and service by HVAC professionals are recommended to maintain proper operation. Technicians will inspect, lubricate, and repair or replace any malfunctioning parts.
How can I find out if my HVAC unit is still under warranty?
Check the manufacture date label on your equipment; if it is less than five years old, it is likely covered. Contact the manufacturer for specific warranty details.
What steps can I take to reduce my energy bills related to heating and cooling?
Use a programmable thermostat, switch to energy-efficient bulbs, use ceiling fans, unplug unused appliances, and ensure windows and doors are properly sealed to prevent air leaks.
What are some best practices for setting my thermostat?
Utilize programmable thermostats to set temperatures for different times. Adjust settings according to lifestyle, weather, and insulation efficiency for maximum energy savings and comfort.
