- LBLiz BurnsAug 28, 20251.0If I could give 0 stars I would. We explained to John Kelly at the Rio Grande store that we needed carpeting for 3 small bedrooms that could handle high traffic and pets in our rental. He guided us towards the Abbey's Road and the Emerald plus padding and we trusted his expertise. Big mistake. $3600 for 425 sq ft later it's been a disaster. The installation was horrible. The carpeting was puffing up at the doorways and around the edges of each room. Had to call them to have them come back and fix that which they did but didn't fix well. A year later and we have holes/rips at the doorways. Next step, get the estimator( rude and condescending Stephen Bradley) out to see if this is their responsibility to fix. Nope. It's our fault but that is no surprise. Why would a company want to stand by their product and make sure their customers are happy? Our last carpeting was 10,000 times better ( not from Avalon Flooring) and handled the same traffic/pets for 7 years with no issues besides normal wear and tear. Honestly, I am not a complainer but this experience has been such a disappointment and a total waste of hard earned money. I am so sorry I ever used this store and will absolutely never buy another product from them again.

He went out of his way to make sure everything ran smoothly from the order, arranging the estimator to come out, getting the financing in order,to keeping me informed when the installation will be done. He’s very professional and a pleasure to work with.

Our rep, Natalie Caruso, was absolutely fantastic from beginning to end. She answered all of our questions, on numerous occasions, worked with us through all the potential options and most importantly made something that seemed would be overwhelming very easy. We will be doing more projects in the future and will definitely be working with Natalie & Avalon Flooring!!

Are rug remnants for sale? Do you have a good supply of remnants and bound area rugs?
We carry remnants in our Rio Grande, NJ and Toms River, NJ showrooms. We also offer a full selection of ready-made rugs as well as an opportunity for custom rugs from a wide variety of vendors and brands.
Do you carry Tec grout?

Do you carry grout and mortar?
Yes, we carry a wide range of installation materials, including grout and mortar. We are a full stocking dealer of your most common grout and mortar brands, including TEC, Schluter, Wedi and more.
Do I need an appointment to talk to a store associate about my flooring or window project?
Appointments are not required in our showrooms and we do accept walk-ins. However, we do recommend making an appointment to speak with one of our store associates if you plan to arrive during peak visiting hours. Call your local showroom for an appointment.
Do you sell vinyl plank flooring?

Do you sell stair treads and runners?
Yes, we sell custom runners for your staircases. We also carry a selection of wood-look stair treads that coordinate well with our flooring options. We do not carry carpet stair treads at this time.

In the case of any error made during installation of an Avalon Flooring project, we can follow up with necessary repairs. We do not offer general floor repair services.

Do you do carpet stretching?
We offer stretching for carpet that was originally installed by the Avalon Flooring team. Our carpet stretching services are available for a fee. Call your store associate or local showroom for details.

Do you provide samples to bring home for review?
Many of our products do have samples that can be brought home. Depending on the product, you may be able to take those samples home the same day, or we may have to ship them to your home. For example, for hardwood, laminate, and vinyl we offer $5 samples that can be shipped directly to your home, while carpet samples are often available in store for customers to take home.
