He showed me how high the snow would have to be to cause problems. (If the upper two vents were blocked, the exhaust would be compomised and if this were to happen, snow should be removed.) He stopped by the door when finished and said all had been examined and AOK. I am an appreciative client.
- TTTJMar 19, 20261.0Absolutely terrible experience with Black River Electrical Contracting and Chris Heil. I was quoted for a 26kW Generac model and confirmed via email that we were good to go. Based on that, I declined multiple competing quotes and moved forward with them. Then, out of nowhere, I was told the model had been “sold off” and that I’d have to purchase a newer model for $13,890 instead—a $1,300+ increase or go with a 24kW model which was still $600 over the original quoted price. Despite this clearly being and oversight on their end, there was zero effort to make it right. No price adjustment, no accountability—just “pay more” or start over and a complete lack of professionalism or empathy. Communication was also poor throughout. Emails were slow, inconsistent, or ignored, and it felt like they had no real interest in keeping my business. Now I’m stuck restarting the entire process after wasting significant time. This felt like a bait-and-switch, plain and simple.
