Fox Chase Contracting undertook a comprehensive roofing project at our condominium association from July through October, which involved replacing the roofs and numerous firewalls across 23 buildings. The project was managed by Mr. Douglas Ocana, whose leadership ensured that the work proceeded in an exceptionally professional, organized, and efficient manner. Throughout the duration of the project, the workers demonstrated the highest standards of skill, safety, and professionalism. They were remarkably adept on the roofs, working with confidence and precision under all conditions. In addition, they maintained a well-ordered work environment and ensured that the grounds were thoroughly cleaned at the end of each day. We were extremely satisfied with the quality of their workmanship and the conduct of the entire team. I cannot speak highly enough of Fox Chase Contracting and would recommend them without reservation.

Douglas Ocana was the supervisor on the roof project at my condo association. I found Doug to be very professional and courteous. Doug also helped me with a painting project in my home. Again, he was very professional, neat and cleaned up after each day. He also kept me informed if he was running late and as to the progress of the project. Doug is a pleasure to work with!

UPDATE: After posting my original review, I was personally contacted by the owner of Foxchase, who responded with a level of professionalism, empathy, and accountability that was both refreshing and deeply appreciated. Every concern I mentioned — from the unexpected power loss to the cleanup was addressed in a timely manner and with consistent respect and kindness. He took the time to explain the situation, acknowledged the disruption we experienced, and not only processed our reimbursement quickly, but also offered additional support to help reinstall the awning and ensure the area was thoroughly cleaned. His response went above and beyond what I expected, especially in an industry where it can sometimes be difficult to feel heard. I truly believe our experience was an exception and not reflective of the company’s typical standard. The thoughtful follow-up reassured me that Foxchase does take homeowner feedback seriously and is committed to improving the process where needed. I'm very grateful for how this was handled and wanted to update my review to reflect that. ----- We didn’t have a choice in hiring Foxchase — they were selected by our HOA — but our experience has been frustrating and honestly upsetting. Our building was the last to be worked on, and during the siding project, there was loud music being played and a noticeable mess that wasn’t being tidied up. While our building’s siding was being replaced, we completely lost power without any warning beforehand. The crew denied responsibility, but when we contacted the power company, they confirmed this had happened in another unit in our development the previous week — also due to the siding work. I don’t believe it was purposeful, but if accidental power outages are known to occur (and clearly have, based on other reviews), homeowners need to be warned and the company needs to take accountability. We had to call and pay for an electrician on Mother’s Day weekend just to get power restored by replacing the exterior breaker. We have a six-month-old baby and both work from home — losing power wasn’t just inconvenient, it was incredibly disruptive. We were concerned about our baby and pets in the heat, losing refrigerated food, and being unable to work. We were told to remove breakables from walls and screens from windows, but no one mentioned that power loss could even be a possibility. That should be a standard part of the prep instructions when doing any work that could impact electrical systems — accidental or not. They also removed our awning without warning. We didn’t think it needed to be taken down, and they took the screws with them, leaving us with no way to reinstall it ourselves. Nails were left on our deck — a serious safety hazard — and we also found scraps of siding wedged in the space between our balcony door and the deck itself. Also, I’m nearly expecting to find myself with a flat tire due to left screws on the grounds. Now, we’ve learned that other neighbors are experiencing window leaks during rain since the siding was replaced. Again, I don’t think this is malicious, but it’s hard to deny the connection to the work. We were never warned that this could be a side effect or potential risk. All in all, this experience has been chaotic, unprofessional, and unnecessarily stressful. I really hope the company takes this feedback seriously and improves communication, site cleanup, and accountability going forward. We’re also hoping and expecting our HOA or the siding company to reimburse us for the electrician bill. And after looking into it, power loss during this kind of work is a known issue — whether from heavy power tool use, vibration, or accidental wire damage. That only reinforces how important it is to inform homeowners in advance. Based on our experience and the similar issues others in the community are now facing, I would not recommend Foxchase. I suspect they were chosen because they were the cheapest option, but it’s not worth saving money up front if you end up having to pay to fix problems caused by the job.
