  I had very good experience with Nick and Anthony. They're very courteous and responsive to our concerns. Next week, we will be doing the excavation project to repair our main drain pipe.

  Brian came to my home in stanhope nj on Dec 27, 2025 because I had drain blockage after his diagnosis as to where the blockage was ,we were told that he would have to remove the toilet from the downstairs in order to insert the drain clearing tool, after he was done we paid for the service and was given a receipt and a 30 guarantee for the work that was done. The next day after they left we noticed that the water was backing up again, we called and they came out again for the second time, the same procedure had to be done,as removal of the toilet and snake the drain again, which we were told that at this point the drain was clear toilet was reinstalled again at this point we were told by the technician that we now have a leak in the toilet by taking it out and reinstalling it. 2 days after the water was backing up again into our shower and the toilet ,we called them out for the third time, they came out again this time a different technician after they were done i asked the technician why did it take 3 times for them to clear the drain and he told me that they were using the wrong tools and this time he use the bigger tool and I should not have any more drain problem, however the toilet is broken, at point from them uninstall and the reinstalling, and i should call the office to set up a service call which would be $145..I refused this offer because my toilet was working, i never had a problem with it until they did the service 3 times. I called there office to see what is the solution,since they are the one's that broke my toilet, the receptionist was quite rude and when I finally to spoke with a manager (Bob) he told me that he would not fixed my toilet and the 30 day warranty that was issued by the first technician he will be removing it. I always thought when a service provider comes to your house they should treat your property with respect and if something is damaged by the service provider it is there responsible to fixed it, unlike what Bob is doing, I now have a broken toilet and I am not sure my drain is clear and this company was paid in full for the service. I amputting this out for home owners to be aware of this roto rooter company that service the stanhope area,I would not recommend them for any services. I intend to report them to (NJ consumer affairs and the BBB next. Stephen

  Brian at Roto Rooter was awesome. We called for a second opinion on a situation that had a costly solution because the original plumber could not get through the clog in our drain. Brian was successfully able to do so, resolving our issue. He came shortly after we called, was really friendly and explained everything he was doing and seeing, and saved us from what would have been a really unfortunate alternate solution.

  Today I had the pleasure (some could say displeasure but I say pleasure even though I completely messed up my bathroom) of welcoming Eric and James to snake my sewer line in the shower in the master bedroom. It was so bad that the cable got stuck, and I think they broke a piece of their equipment when trying to snake the toilet (fyi the toilet was a Caroma Somerton..Caromas are not common here in the US). As it turns out, the toilet was not clogged. It's a Caroma with a giant trapway....of course it wouldn't be clogged. It was the sewer line itself. Eric and James worked hard and I am grateful for their help. Will call on Roto Rooter always if I get in trouble again.
