  Worked with Joe from Home Genius Exteriors recently and had a really solid experience overall. What I liked most was how upfront he was—he didn’t try to oversell anything and actually helped me figure out what made the most sense for my house and budget. He was easy to get in touch with, always answered when I had questions, and made sure nothing slipped through the cracks. The crew did great work, and Joe made sure everything was cleaned up and finished the right way before calling it done. Whole thing felt way more organized and less stressful than I expected. Definitely glad I went with them.

  This experience was definitely challenging. The installation began after the winter storm but that was not the problem. The communication was terrible. Jason Kane was the project manager. He was difficult to contact, did not respond to messages and when he did, it was just to say he would check into it and then respond 3 days later. We lost power to half our house for almost two weeks and had no response from Jason after we informed him. We received a certificate of completion (which we did not sign) when there were numerous outstanding issues, we did not do a walk around to confirm satisfaction, and they did not clean up the work area. We had the dumpster in the driveway for 2 months. Once it was done, we had to call for a repair request because some of the siding was lifting in 4 places. Thanks to Eric for quickly contacting us, surveying the issue and completing the repairs all within a week. We have since learned that this lack of follow through and limited communication is how Jason has performed previously resulting in multiple complaints. He did not provide a pleasant experience, however, the job is now finally completed. There are workmanship issues (trim around garage, french doors and some windows are not aligned properly, some edges were awkwardly cut) and we are still finding nails and cut pieces of siding/trim laying around because there was no proper clean up. Thankfully Eric removed the last two boxes of siding, box of trim and pallet that were left behind. We had 2 neighbors inquire about the company and unfortunately we could not give good reviews and they went with other companies.

  From the initial sales presentation by Justin to the project management oversight by Adam W. to the workmanship of the installation crew, this was a dream experience that I would definitely recommend to anyone. The price was right and the value enormous. The gutters took my home's exterior from drab to stand-out. I am thrilled.

  Had a contract to completely redeck our flat roof. They didn’t do the wood because it wasn’t needed. Just the roof. If we weren’t home we would have been charged for the whole job. Had to pressure them to redo the contract . They had no intention to replace the wood because it wasn’t on the job site with all the other roofing material. Terrible customer service. Trying to take advantage of a couple of senior citizens. I will never use this company again.

  Eric R. of Home Genius Exteriors provided warranty service for some issues we experienced with our new roof. While initially we were upset about needing to exercise our warranty, Eric put our minds at ease with personalized and patient attention to our matter. He coordinated the crew that made things right, spent abundant time coaching the crew and making sure our expectations got communicated and addressed, and Eric never failed to go the extra mile so that not only were we satisfied, but excited about the final outcome. Eric is personable, knowledgeable and prompt. His friendly demeanor made a frustrating situation feel tolerable, and at the end, my family now regards Eric as a friend. He’s a great guy, and kudos to Home Genius for putting a guy like Eric in this role! He changed our impression of Home Genius almost single-handedly. Obviously he is overseeing many jobs, but Eric always made us feel like we were his top priority. Thank you.
