Do not rent from this company. Quote price for a scissor lift is $330 for the day. By the time they added $360 for delivery a few miles down the road which I was not told it was that high, then add another $65 surcharge for fuel on top of the $360 delivery, tehn another enviornmental fee for an ELECTRIC lift, oh and $50 for rental protection which I never asked for. So total for a small scissor lift was $810 for the day! Absolutley insane! These guys are crooks! I called and they said it is what it is. I rent from other local comanies all the time for half this cost. I used them this time because they were right down the road from our job. Never again!

I called the Hampton, NH location and asked for information. The employee who answered the phone would only give me short answers and offered no help whatsoever. I asked if they had HEPA vacuums for rent and all he said was "No". So I asked if I could get one from another location, the response was "I don't know, we could ship it if they have one." I pressed again a few ore times for more information like what would the cost of shipping one would be. Response - "I don't know, I don't have the weight or anything for an item like that." I told him its about 15 lbs (since I saw it on the Sunbelt Rental website). He said, "Well that doesn't help me at all". I decided not to waste anymore time trying to give them business.

I called and reserved an aerator - was told on the phone at the time of the reservation that if it was brought back within 4 clock ours that they would work on the rate to accommodate a 1/2 day rental. My husband made sure it was back within the 4 hours and they did not adjust the rate. When I called to question why I got a Kenneth French on the phone who was very short from the very beginning of the conversation, stated that it wasn't mentioned when my husband dropped off the machine and would not stand behind the guy that I spoke to making the reservation and refused to adjust our bill accordingly. We where never informed that it was needed to be mentioned at the time of the return. Also when we received the machine and got it home there was a broken wire on it, so be sure to look things over before you leave with the equipment to ensure you are not charged for the damage. Unbelievable . . . . I have done business with them before and never an issue - not sure if Ken is new or what, but VERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE. I guess it's Home Depot next as I never gave them a thought and their rate for 1/2 day is cheaper then Sunbelts full day price.

Is a deposit required for a reservation?
For customers without a line of credit, Sunbelt Rentals does not require a deposit to rent tools and equipment. However, you will be asked for payment information when you make your reservation. Your credit or debit card will not be charged for the rental period (one ((1)) day minimum) until you pick up the equipment.
For Credit Customers, we will secure a deposit for your reservation. This deposit will be held within your account until the rental equipment is returned and the contract closed. Apply for a credit account here.
If your project is quick and you only need the equipment for a few hours, Sunbelt Rentals does offer a Rapid Return rate. Return the equipment within four (4) hours of the pickup time and we will refund the difference of the Rapid Return rate. Rates will vary based on product. What if I need to keep my equipment longer?
If you need assistance, please contact the branch of the equipment rental and they can extend the rental for you. When you keep the equipment longer, we will add the additional time and charges to your contract and credit card. Please refer to the rental contract, where the day, week and 4-week rates are shown for each piece of tool and equipment.
Can I return rented equipment at any location?
Typically, equipment should be returned to the same location where you initially rented it. If you need to return it to a different location, please contact the store where you rented the equipment for guidance. It’s advisable to call ahead so we can assist you in finding a convenient alternative location for your return. Your convenience is our priority.
What is the cost for the delivery of equipment to my location?
The delivery charge is calculated based on the category and class of equipment, the location of the rental location, the distance of the project site from the rental location.
Can I get tools and equipment delivered to me?
Yes, Sunbelt Rentals offers convenient delivery options from our extensive network of locations for a reasonable fee. When making a reservation, simply select the delivery option. During the reservation process, you can specify the delivery drop-off date and time, as well as your estimated equipment pickup date. The estimate is for our planning purposes and not a final date.
To initiate our equipment pickup service, you must confirm the end of your rental via the app or by phone. Additionally, if you have specific delivery instructions or prefer a designated contact person for coordination, please include those details when submitting your reservation.

What happens if a tool breaks or quits working while I am renting it?
Sunbelt Rentals inspects and services each piece of equipment prior to each rental and should be in good working order. If you experience problems with the tool while renting it, please go to the specific Equipment Detail page within the reservation to request service. If you need additional assistance, please contact the branch of the equipment rental and they can arrange for next steps or a replacement. If you want to have protection in the event of damage, Sunbelt Rentals offers a Rental Protection Plan (RPP), which can be purchased at the start of your rental.
