That meant the boiler worked fine, but one of the units controlling the valves or the circulator pump was bad. After careful troubleshooting and consultation with another technician, Casey isolated the problem part and bypassed it, since it was not essential to controlling the boiler (the whole set up, installed by another company was redundant and idiotic). This got us heat back and cost us less than $200. Win-win.
