  We had a great experience with CBD. One of our pull out cabinets had an issue bc our kid ran into it while it was open, they gave me the correct parts to fix it at no charge. Great customer service!

  Employees are not knowledgeable and their cabinets are cheaply constructed. Explanations are vague and options are not explained or offered. They wait until it's complete to say "you didn't ask for xyz." Would not recommend. There seems to be no management or ownership on site and Kristin didn't have the proper training/knowledge to work with new construction clients. I wish my builder had read these reviews before spec'ing this company.

  My contractor insisted on using Cabinetry By Design despite us wanting to use a different company. I wish we would have stuck to our convictions. CBD was terrible in every phase. We spent thousands with a design company to ensure the plans we provided to the subcontractors were very detailed and accurate. CBD took those plans and made their shop drawings. The problems started with them drawing up completely different cabinets than we wanted. It took 6 attempts to get their drawings to look like what we wanted. When the cabinets were delivered – they were wrong. They had fixed selves were there should have been removable shelves. Face frames didn’t line up flush even after adjustment. Drawer slides were loose. We had custom garage door style cabinets that my wife had envisioned. They had been in the plans from day 1. When the cabinets arrived, they didn’t work. They scarred the fronts of the cabinets. CBD then said, “we’ve never done these before” and “we will just make them work”. If you haven’t ever done something before then don’t bid on a project or be willing to replace the work with a second attempt if you don’t achieve the result. Instead of that they chose to cut out the frame and attempt make-shift repairs. The result looked like a DIY nightmare instead of brand-new profession custom cabinets which is what I paid for. They attempted to fix it multiple times and each time it got worse. Eventually I asked them to stop trying. Ultimately I bought new hardware and fixed it myself. Stay away from Cabinetry By Design.
