I ordered pine bark nuggets from them, and it turns out they are just middlemen who take the goods from the mulch sellers in Wilmington and make their markup on top. If you don’t have your own product and you want to make money on mediation, then at least take the trouble to take real photos of what you are selling, when I asked Carla can I come to see how the bark nuggets looks like in real form, she said that they don’t have samples since they are carrying it from another yard and it's far away. And that she can send me a real pictures. What was brought and what is in the photo is very different from each other. I overpaid you in the hope that you will bring me the same thing as in the picture. Guys you are just scammers
Frequently Asked Questions About Pelton Aggregates
Do you deliver?
Yes, we offer residential and jobsite direct delivery service within a 60-mile radius of our Wilmington and Dunn locations. For deliveries beyond this range, we can accommodate your needs, but please note that costs increase significantly with distance. We're committed to serving our customers, wherever they may be.
When can I get my order delivered?
Our delivery services operate Monday through Friday, from 8am to 5pm. After placing your order, we'll collaborate with you to determine the most suitable day and time for delivery. We often have the capacity to provide same-day delivery, ensuring you receive your materials promptly.
Can your delivery trucks spread the material for me?
While we don't offer comprehensive spreading services, our drivers may perform a 'tailgate spread' if deemed safe. This method involves gradually distributing the material while driving, resulting in a scattered pattern rather than a single large pile. The driver's discretion determines the feasibility of this service.
Can I pick up my own material?
Certainly! We welcome customers to visit our Wilmington or Dunn yards for material pickup, provided you have suitable transportation. We can load most pickups, trailers, and dump trucks. Please note that Pelton Aggregates isn't liable for any damage or injury during loading. We advise customers to remain in their vehicles, and children are not permitted on the yard.
How many tons are in a yard?
Generally, 1 cubic yard equates to approximately 1.35 US tons. However, this ratio can vary depending on the stone's size and classification. Larger stones tend to be heavier than smaller ones, and the composition and density significantly impact the weight-to-volume ratio. For precise calculations, please use our Gravel Calculator or contact us for assistance.
What projects are aggregate materials suited for?
Our aggregate materials, including gravel and crushed stone, are ideal for a variety of projects. These include driveways, drainage systems, landscaping, construction, and numerous other residential and commercial applications. For specific usage recommendations, please refer to individual product descriptions on our website or contact us directly.
Is there a minimum amount I must purchase?
We don't impose minimum purchase requirements for most orders. Please note that we sell by the ton and do not offer partial quantities. However, bulk delivery orders necessitate a minimum of 20 tons. This ensures efficient use of our delivery resources while meeting the needs of larger projects.
How is a bulk order delivered?
We employ professional dump trucking fleets for the safe and timely delivery of bulk orders. Our experienced drivers assess the landscape and soil conditions to determine the optimal dumping location. Please be aware that due to the weight of dump trucks, we may be unable to access areas with wet or unstable ground.
What if I have an issue with my order?
If you encounter any issues or have questions about your order, please contact us at 910-232-5728. For order refusals, it's crucial to do so before unloading begins. If you're unavailable during delivery and wish to refuse, you'll be responsible for payment but may receive a discount on the current or a future order. We recommend examining all orders before unloading to ensure product accuracy. Our priority is your satisfaction, and we're committed to finding a suitable solution.
