My experiences with Generac supercenter have given me peace of mind and recently it was test tested. When Duke ENERGY went out for 312 people I was one of those. I was watching TV and then all of a sudden everything just shut down and then within a minute, everything came back on. I want to let you know that Generac supercenter and their technicians are the reason. I put a generator in, but I have service through Generac supercenter. The technicians come out they change everything to make sure everything is functioning and I was never so happy as when there was absolutely no problem with Duke ENERGY going out and the generator going on

Living in a hurricane rich area, my wife and I decided to get a generator to cover the whole house. We had a portable one, but the usage is limited to individual appliances and wanted something that was much more useful to us. We researched generators and decided a Generac generator was a good one to invest in. Looking at our local Generac provider, we came up with Generator Supercenter. We started there talking with a sales rep about what we needed, what we wanted, etc. They had many options that covered a number of performance operations including some that did automatic load shedding (cutting off loads that could be lived without first, second, etc.). In the end we got a generator that was powered by Liquid Gas and was big enough to supply our whole house. We had to go out and get gas tanks to support this which was easy enough. The gas company came out, set us up with two tanks and then worked with Generator Supercenter to connect them. Once everything was in place, Generator Supercenter came out and installed and set up the unit, giving us tutorials on the care and feeding of our new generator. We purchased a maintenance plan with them which has them monitoring it as well as coming out for routine maintenance as required. All very hands free for me! The unit kicks on every other week at the same time on the same day and runs for a few minutes to verify it is running correctly. We have lost power a few times and the unit kicks on automatically, restoring power literally within seconds of losing it. It is long enough that my computer turns off but not so long as to be annoying. I'm completely satisfied with the product, maintenance and customer service that I have received from Generator Supercenter.

Generator Supercenter is the most professional organization, from its owner Dan Miller to every tech that they employ. I purchased my whole house generator after my husband passed, to give me piece of mind during storms. The techs arrived as scheduled, the install was done exactly as I requested, and it is tested each week and monitored by Generator Supercenter. When the testing finds a possible issue, the techs come out immediately to evaluate. The LP vendor was recommended by them, and they are also professional and they take pride in their equipment and service. Many thanks to Generator Supercenter. My neighbors also have piece of mind that they can come over if power goes out for a period of time. Sincerely, Robin Webb

Living in "hurricane alley" in Leland, NC, and having experienced extended power loss from storms, I knew when we bought our new house that we didn't want to go through that again. After shopping around, we went with Generator Supercenter, and I'm glad we did. From beginning to end, it was a great experience. From the salesman who never once tried to upsell anything, asked me questions about what me and my family wanted and expected, to the installation crew that did the install quickly and thoroughly and we're professionals the whole time, answering my questions and addressing any concerns I had. Overall, topnotch company and employees. I would highly recommend them if you're considering getting a home generator. And did I mention the cost overall was cheaper, and I got more for my money, than I would have if I bought it through Lowe's or Home Depot? Well it was, and I did. If you have worries or concerns about using them, I can tell you put them to rest. These folks know what they're doing, and will put your mind at ease. The most important thing for me was NO PRESSURE from them to upsell or get something I didn't need. They asked what I wanted and made recommendations based on my answers. I appreciated the honesty, it was refreshing. Highly recommend Generator Supercenter!!!

Own a 24KW whole house Generac. The company that originally installed it (TO BE CLEAR, it was NOT Wilmington Generator Supercenter) were "good" but there were shortcuts taken and, being a new generator owner, we were totally ignorant of what all should have been done before they called it "done." This past summer (2025) we had some minor generator issues and decided to call in Wilmington Generator Supercenter. Their tech arrived and during the visit not only immediately fixed our issues but pointed out and corrected several things that the original installers had either missed or had botched. As a result, we switched our maintenance contract over to Wilmington Generator Supercenter and added several "add-ons" like cellular monitoring. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! Great company that stands behind it's contract and equipment. Experienced field techs that know what they're doing. Service calls answered and resolved ASAP.

Frequently Asked Questions About Generator Supercenter

What is the difference between a home standby and a portable generator?

Home standby generators are permanent installations designed to provide power to the entire house. Portable generators, on the other hand, are more suitable for powering specific circuits or appliances as needed.

What size home standby generator do I need for my home?

The size of generator needed varies for each home. Our team can conduct an on-site load calculation to determine the precise generator capacity required for your specific household needs.
