  Mountain Homes of WNC rebuilt my home after Hurricane Helene, and I couldn’t be more grateful for the incredible work they did. From the very beginning, they listened closely to my goals and truly brought every one of my visions to life. Their communication was clear, consistent, and reassuring throughout the entire process—something that meant a lot during such a stressful time. They were also surprisingly affordable without ever compromising on quality. The craftsmanship was top-notch, and the attention to detail shows in every corner of my home. I genuinely feel like I’m living in an even better version of what I had before the storm. I highly recommend Mountain Homes of WNC to anyone looking for skilled, trustworthy, and customer-focused professionals. They exceeded every expectation.

  I hired Mountain Homes of WNC to build my custom home in Asheville, NC. I needed a builder that could do Energy Star and I was looking to build on a budget in the luxury home market -- pretty much impossible to find...or so I thought! My real estate agent referred me to Mountain Homes of WNC. Their budget came in 30% less than the other builders I was considering, which made the project possible and their quality was top notch! They are perfectionists, in the best way! We broke ground in March of 2020, right before Covid -19 hit the United States. Unfortunately, the timing to build a home couldn't be worse. Suddenly, lumbar prices shot up 40% and I was completely stressed out, wondering if I'd have the money to finish the project. However, Mountain Homes of WNC saved the day by helping me keep costs low, despite the escalating labor and lumbar prices. Furthermore, we had challenges getting workers to the site, issues with the home design, and supply issues. Basically the project was a study in Murphey's Law. Yet, in the midst of the pandemic chaos, Mountain Homes came through in a very tough situation. They pulled off a miracle on my project! As you can see from the photos, the end result was gorgeous! Cathedral ceilings, beautiful cut stone fireplace, and an amazing deck, overlooking the forest! On a personal level, they were super fun to work with and they cared about the project any my happiness and they put in the effort to make sure everything was 100% to my satisfaction. For example, they installed bathroom tile that was really hard to get and drove two hours to pick up my living room chandelier. If you're looking to build a high quality custom home in the luxury market, yet have sticker shock at the cost to build, I recommend checking out Mountain Homes of WNC!

  I had the pleasure of meeting Alan when we were looking to buy a new home. He showed us through a Spec home which we was building. We ended up purchasing this Spec home and had WNC finish the basement and are now working on a garage for us. We have been extremely happy with their work, the timeline on finishing our basement and their overall professionalism. We have a great relationship with them and look forward to watching their business grow. They are extremely picky and expect things to be done properly. Jeff and Alan both are extremely easy to deal with, to communicate with and very honest which is hard to come by any more.

  Mtn homes are great builders I've seen lots of beautiful custom work they have done besides the stuff they have done for me they are very professional and I highly recommend them
