  Our 18 year old house was is desperate need of new crawlspace ceiling insulation. Much of what we had was hanging down....looked like a spanish moss forest. Paid some really high power bills this winter and believe that the crawlspace ceiling (first floor "floor") insulation was part of the problem. Contacted DAVCO and spoke with Robert Newcombe. He came to house a few days later, and provided several quotes (R19 batt, R30 batt, and spray foam). We decided on the R30 batt. Job was done within 9 days from first contact. The job included new 10 mil poly ground vapor barrier. The 3 person crew removed all of the old ground cover and all the old insulation, and carted it away at the end of the day. The crawlspace now looks amazing. I had considered doing this job myself and realize now that would have been nuts. The quantity of old ground poly and old insulation itself would have taken me several trips to the local landfill with my small utility trailer. It probably would have taken me 3 weeks to do what DAVCO's crew did in 10 hours. Hats off to Robert and DAVCO insulation install crew. DAVCO performs other home related services too.

  I live in a new build home have yet to use my fireplace. I go through the process of the the burn off period and something was just off about it. I did as i was suppose too with the burn off period, even had my dad and multiple people come check it out because my house reeked of a very strong odor of natural gas to the point you could smell it at my front door. We figured out it was not the gas company problem, however it was an installation issue with the fireplace. I have called, and called , and called (started calling December 5… it is now January 5) and yet still no action was taken. Many excuses were given. Each time i called i spoke with a man named Eric who told me he has left multiple notes on the branch manager’s desk (even said the manager would reach out to me and was working on my packet). Yet, still no call to me about action being taken. This is unacceptable!!

  Customer service is awful! Gas fireplace from Davco was installed by our builder in our new home. Over two months later they still haven’t come out to do the start up. Called today and was told it’s a “complementary service” and they don’t have anyone that can do it. So we bought a fireplace we can’t use? Nice! What a joke. Buyers be ware of using or purchasing from Davco as there is zero service after the sale!
