My mom is 98 years old, lives alone and is confined to a wheelchair. Her thermostat, which was two years oand three months old, stopped working. They installed a smart thermostat even though she has no Internet and changed her $1150. Its difficult to speak to the owner because he doesn't have a direct line. Once he agreed to meet me but didn't show up. Another time his secretary said he would call me back and he didn't. He said he bought the company that installed the unit but was not responsible for warranties etc. I asked for a copy of the itemized invoices and the consent form to take pictures of my mom's property. He didn't send the itemized invoice but sent me an invoice with the cost and permission to take pictures.... but it was not my mom's signature.
I strongly suggest that you look elsewhere for service. You must be aware that there are bad actors out there. Their policy is to record you when interacting and taking pictures of your personal property. I'm going to contact the BBB.

I would give less stars if i could. We called Jay's Heating and Air for a failing ac unit. On 4/3/26, a service technician came out. He seemed like a very nice and knowledgeable young man. He diagnosed our system with a bad air compressor. With our system being 21 years old, it wad recommended that we replace the unit. Our current air handler will not be compatible with a new system, so that would have to be replaced as well. Once the technician had completed his inspection, he told us that he plugged the system in backwards so that it would not cause any electrical issues. Noting, we had our breaker turned off since we called on 4/2/26. We took the recommendations of replacing the unit and had a sales rep come out on 4/7/26. He was very nice young man as well. He asked me a few questions about rating the most important things in a unit. He also asked what our monthly budget. He said that was very doable. I didn't find this an issue until after he quoted us 4 units all exceeding my expected budget in mind. He checked the thermostat (which had been working so we could keep track of the temp in the house); he then proceeded to scan the rooms of the house with his tablet to see how much air/heat each room needed to cool/heat. Afterwards, he went to the crawl space to check out the air handler and the outdoor unit. Up to this point I had been the only one at home. Once he was ready to give us his quotes, Marty was 15 minutes from being home. He politely waited until he got home to proceed with the quotes he had put together. He gave us the tablet to look at 4 quotes he put together, "Here's your overall price and the monthly payment you'll pay over 15 years." This young man did not even go over anything in the quote and expected us to just go with it. Marty proceeded to tell him that would be getting a second opinion before making any moves forward. (We have been burned in the past by going with the first option.) He pushed back, which I expected. Marty made clear he wasn't purchasing same day. We then got told we needed to sign a paper that said "I decline the 15 year warranty." After asking why that it needed to be signed he said that it was a 1 day offer. I politely signed and moved on. He then went out to his car and when he returned, he returned with a paper of 28 questions asking us why we wanted another quote. He asked, "You only want a second quote if you don't like or trust me, my equipment, or the price. Which is it?" Marty responded as politely as he could at that point he was ready for him to leave. Marty told him "There was nothing that could make him buy today and he was getting another quote. It would be dumb for me not to." He then proceeded to "get a text" from his "boss" saying they could take off an extra $800 from the price. We told him, "No, we are not buying today." The rest of the day is normal. Once the evening came, it was getting cold outside and the house was cooling down. My thermostat had been turned off, which I found odd because it had been working fine until he left.
After seeking another professional, we found out that indeed our emergency heat strips would work with a failed compressor.
Jay's knowingly disengaged our thermostat and emergency heat strips. This left us without heat overnight when it was very cold for several nights. They knowingly put my family in an unsafe position to try to make a sales hoping we would call them back when it got freezing cold.

I highly recommend. This was the first time using Jay's. Noah was our technician. I am quite impressed with this young man. So knowledgeable, so kind, and instantly we trusted him. We are so thankful for Noah in finding our mold problem in our air handlers. He installed the air cleaner and blue lights and we are looking forward to our cleaner air and mold remediation. Thank you Noah for all of your hard work. We look forward to seeing you in 6 months for our routine maintenance. And thank you Jays for honoring us veterans.

Would give less stars if I could. We had a water leak at our home. The leak was covered by our home owners policy. Jays was made aware of the issue and given the Insurance adjusters name and contact information. They wanted their money up front and would not work with our insurance company in any way shape or form. They did not care that we were completely out of water and were going to have to stay in a motel or with family due to not having water. They did not care that a check had been issued and mailed and was confirmed by Farm Bureau Insurance's adjuster. They still refused to touch our plumbing issue until they had the check in their hands. Would never recommend to anyone.

Our heat pump went down for the count and Jay's came to the rescue for us. Maddox Bowman did a terrific job for us, troubleshooting and correcting the issues at hand. I have to say, Maddox is probably the most meticulous technician I have ever seen. He was so methodical and particular in the way he diagnosed and documented what he was doing, step by step. He was never in a rush and took the time to explain exactly what he was doing as he worked. I worked in a company for years that relied on service technicians so I know the value they bring to a company as being their absolute lifeblood. Maddox is a true diamond in this regard. He knows what he is doing and you can definitely tell he takes pride in his work. Thank you Maddox and Jay's for getting us going again. I can't recommend them enough for their response and professionalism.
