Basement and Foundation Solutions came out and figured out why our floors were sinking. Did an encapsulation and were easy to work with.

The team at BAFS has been great to work with. Their inspector was the only one who came out and mentioned foundation issues as the cause of our sagging floor. Other companies were just giving partial quotes to replace floor joist, which wouldn't have solved our issue. I signed the contract one day, the next day they had a cancellation and asked if I wanted them to start my project as it was smaller than some others. I agreed and the team started. From the time Chris came out for the project review until the team cleaned up and departed, they where on time and professional. Franz and Dillion handled the foundation work, Richard completed the concrete lifting, both of which turned out great. I gave 4 stars, because they were not able to get our home to lift much given it's size. However, the tools they used allowed them to only lift one section at a time, and there was no way they could lift more than one story with their process. Their process was nothing like the videos I had watched where they would lift all of the helical piers at the same time, which would have spread the weight better and allowed the house to be lifted easier. Additionally, no engineering work was done before hand, it's actually completed after the fact, which I thought had to be done before the work to determine what was needed to stabilize the foundation and bring the home close to the original depth. If you have a one story home, their system is ideal for your repair and their price is on par with the other we received. Just keep in mind one was for replacing four 2x12 floor joist, while BAFS quoted for foundation work. If you have more than one story or if your home has foundation issues that require you to lift everything at once, then I would get a structural engineer to review the work and then ensure the company gets a permit and does the work as specified by the engineer.

Chris and Randall showed up on time and completed my leveling project in the time frame they gave me. When I requested that they concentrate on an especially low spot, they spent quite a bit of time correcting the issue and even went back to another section to make the sections more even. Overall, very pleased with the workmanship and professionalism.

Frequently Asked Questions About Basement & Foundation Solutions

What is crawlspace encapsulation, and why is it important?

Crawlspace encapsulation is the process of sealing your crawlspace with a durable vapor barrier. This method controls moisture, inhibits mold growth, and enhances indoor air quality. It also improves energy efficiency and safeguards your home's foundation from water-related damage.

How can I tell if my foundation needs repair?

Signs that your foundation may need repair include visible cracks in walls or floors, doors and windows that are difficult to open or close, uneven flooring, and visible gaps between walls and ceilings. If you observe any of these issues, we recommend scheduling a professional inspection.
